Sergeant at Arms

I'm sure we've all been there; Some epic siege is happening, all of the enemy troops are being filed into a tiny choke point, but your troops wont move out of the goddamn way to let you get a piece of the action. I know, you can tell them to fall back or spread out or hold a different position, all that stuff, but that moves all of the troops out of the way and may cause the enemies to spill over onto the wall; Either that or it is a narrow wall and you need to get to the other end to get a better angle to shoot from, but its too crowded to get through. So, in my opinion, the troops should either automatically move out of the way when you're pushing against them (and then go back to their original position once you've passed) or the kick move should effect friendly troops as well as enemies. I'd rather not have to stick my boot up a dozen huscarls asses to get to the frontline, though. So yeah, what do yall think? or am I being an idiot and there already is a function like this?
edit: other thing that would be very helpful: during sieges have an order to "take defensive positions" for archers. That way, if you're in a pinch and tell your archers to charge, you can order them back to their original positions after reinforcements have come.
And while your at it, improve the starting points of archers. so many of mine are either just shooting into a wall or somewhere on the ground behind the wall.....
