Troop trees?

couldn't find any hints on hegemony troop trees anywhere. but unlike most other mods i do need them badly here because troop names in the mod rarely are intuitive. when you upgrade your soldier you almost never know if he's going to be a swordsman or a cavalry archer. if you're not an ancient war history geek of course.
so anyone ready to share his wisdom?

Not sure about most of them, but Roman troop tree goes vaguely like this (don't take this as law, I'm prone to errors)

Leves

Rostari (skirmisher type)

Velites (archer/skirmisher) /  Hastati (skirmisher/infantry)

Eques (cavalry)              /  Prinicipe (infantry)

After that I'm not too sure, but I think Triiari is one choice next, and they're spearmen.

hmm.. looks like we'll have to find it out ourselves.
if everyone contributes some info about the nation he recruits from, eventually we'll build out those trees from the scratch. so here's what i offer to do - write down info about each unit in your army and post it here. it shouldn't be very time consuming - just post the tier's name, names of troops it upgrades to and is upgraded from and its equipment. that should do. i'll personally take sarmatian tree. here's what i know so far.

light spearman - sarmatian rider - roxolani rider - roxolani noble cavalry
                                          - aorsi horse archer - aorsi noble horse archer
                                                                      - aorsi noble cavalry
                    - scyth foot archer - scyth horse archer
                                                  - scyth axeman - scyth rider

on a side note, sarmatian cavalry units seem to be quite strong yet cheaper in upkeep, comparing to other factions' cavalry i saw so far.

sarmatians are incredibly powerful. It should probably be like that, but they have strong lancers with friggin long lances, strong heavy cavalry with those dreaded axes (loads of dmg) and very good archers.

Anyway, I play Macedon, but there the troop tree is rather fine and easy to understand.

will you post it, please? just for reference.
i know i can whip up every faction's troop tree myself, but that would mean that i'd need to actually PLAY for every faction for a while. which i don't really want to do.

okay, i guess you guys are being lazy.
can someone at least answer me a question: which faction has top tier cavalry wielding one-handers? (no spears, no ranged)

bear in mind all spears are 1-h weapons in this mod there's not many mounted troops that would use swords since most of 'em are so short...

Question is there faction similar to Khergit Khante? i mean light horse man with bows from very begining? i like to travel fast

Not from the very beginning, but you might like Sarmatians, their first troops are Light spearman which can become Sarmatian Rider or Scythian Archer.

Also; I think this is the Greek troop tree:

                                    Hellenic Levy Hoplite
                                /                                \
              Light Hoplite                                    Hellenic Akontistai
            /            \                                            |
Hoplite          Hell. Hipakontistai Cav.            Hell. Peltast
        /          \                |                                  |
Trad.        Iphikratous  Hell. Hippeis Cav.              Hell. Toxotes
Hoplite        Hoplite
  |
Spartan Hoplite

Iphikratous Hoplite are lighter armoured than Trad., but have larger shield and larger spear.

Well i would like them but from what i noticed they only got 4 villages and recruting from only 4 villages is pain in ass...im playing as Rome atm...they need to balance things up...

Scythian riders should have melee weapons - axes

upgradeable from Scythian Axemen

I'm playing a Germanic barbarian.  So here's the Germanic troop tree.

Riding coursers and somtimes using small round shields, decent cavalry indeed. (Especially compared to any Hellenic/ succesor/ Roman cavalry.)

Momaw, good job! actually, i was so inspired by your post that i've reworked mine to be as informative.
so far we have two factions fully described.

Here's two incomplete trees. Feel free to fill it in.

Hellenic Levy Hoplite
        |
Light Hoplite
        |
Hoplite
        |
Traditional Hoplite
      |                \
Spartan Hoplite  Ikphraktous Hoplite (no idea how to spell it)

I'm not certain about the rest of the tree though. Light Hoplite should also upgrade to ranged units and (cavalry?) AFAIK.

(Macedonian Levy Hoplite)?
      |
Macedonian Levy Phalangite
      |
Macedonian Pezhatorai
      |
Macedonian Agyraspides

Not entirely certain about this tree too. I believe that the Levy Hoplite branches off to an archer and cavalry section.

Romans:

                Leves
                  |
                Rorarii
              /          \
          Hastati        Velite
        /            \              \
Equis                Auxiliary  Light Auxilia
    |                    |    \              \
Roman Cavalry  Triarii  Legionary  Auxiliary Archer

Not entirely certain on the Roman tree as well.

            (Macedonian Levy Hoplite
        /                              |
Macedonian Akontistai    Macedonian Levy Phalangite
        |                              |                                \
Macedonian Toxotes      Macedonian Pezhetairoi      Macedonian Thureophoros
                                        |                                |                                        \
Macedonian Argyraspides    Macedonian Hippeis Cavalry            Macedonian Hypaspist
                                                                          |                      \
                                                Macedonian Hetairoi Xystophoros  Thessalian Hippeis

I think it's like this. Maybe there are some missing, I don't use cavalry and archers that much.
Now, Pezhetairoi are phalangites with sarissas, Argyraspides are really tough. Thureophoroi are light infantry with linothorakes, spears and thureos shields carrying javelins. Hypaspistes are elite infantry, super fast and good fighters, but they have only spears and hoplite shields (they should have mixed spears and swords imho) and some of them don't have armor.
