I'm playing the barbarian and want to know which faction suits me most...

I recommend downloading the troop editor. It's simple to use, and it's easy to check each unit's stats with it.

And to answer your latter question: No.

stats-wise a barbarian is much better, with higher str and agility, and good head armor. But a monk uses a heavy blunt weapon, which will 1-hit kill even plate-armored enemies, and barbarian uses a cutting weapon which will have some more work to do vs heavy armor (still 1on1 barbarian will always kill pretty much any other troop, except perhaps fallen)

It depends on what they're fighting. If they're against a bunch of swordsmen and archers, yeah. If they're against a migrating bear tribe, no.

I opened up the troop tree from the mod folder and all it showed was the Swadian priest selection over and over... Did anyone else have this problem?

yes, i have the same problem. something is wrong with swadian files i guess, because it loops forever...

(edit: removed the solution, because it was messing it up even more.)
