Troop Training Bugged?

So I got myself a town, and a constable, and I've set him to train my troops. However nothing happens, at all. Is this due to troops taking much longer to level up than in native, or is it a bug with the trainer himself, due to the troop trees being different?

It is not working in Brytenwalda. I think it because all weakest troops in the game already have 15 level. Authors had raised minimal level for troops but forgot to change native training parametrs (exp)

If you garrison (mercenary) farmers and peasant women, they will get trained.

I hope we'll see the garrison training system fixed.
