I wouldn't mind seeing some white captains from Psuedo-Canada faction or Balion as lords in the Sarranids with their own regulars from their own nations fighting with them and the sarranids

I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but you could use the arrow resistant war horse from native and apply it from the tank. If you have no idea what I am talking about, there is a horse in the native game that is well, arrow proof. You could apply this code to the tanks, making the tank virtually immune to all lower type weapons. Also, if were adding elite troops, can have some experimental troops like Natch Jaegers (german infrared night vision) that way, the only way to get some of the best troops is too conduct research products, this way you cant just jack up training hire a bunch of recruits and run around for 30 minuets and have a massive and well trained army that will steamroll everything (if you have the cash to do this, that is)
Also on the topics of tanks I'd like to see a Russian battleship tank.
That would be meat to have on the battlefield

Also, regarding the addition of elite and tank troops into the game, here's my thoughts:

Already-existing units would stay the way they are.

Elite troops would start off as something like Ranger Recruit, then upgrade to a Ranger Veteran. Elite troops would be better than regular troops, but to balance this, elites would also be much more expensive than regulars and would also take longer to train (to make it hurt more when you lose one).

Tanks and tank infantry:

First, you would have to recruit tank crewmen to your party. These would only be recruited at army bases (castles) and cities. The guys who made Gekokujo figured out a way to make it so that you could only recruit advanced soldiers from castles and cities, maybe see that mod for reference. The tank crewmen themselves would only be armed with only a pistol, but are also the only ones able to drive a tank. Then, you have to actually buy a tank. Referencing another mod, the people who made Twilight of the Sun King did a thing where upon visiting a city, you could visit a canon foundry and buy up to three(?) cannons for your party, which would be used in battle. Maybe in the same way, the player could visit a tank factory or something where you could buy tanks based on how many tank crewmen are in your party. Tanks would have a really high armor rating to the point of where they would be unaffected by bullets, but weak against grenades and AT rifles (and other tanks). They would move relatively slowly, but with a powerful cannon to use against enemy troops. Maybe to simulate being able to run over enemy soldiers, you could even give tanks a really high charge rating, allowing them to knock out enemy soldiers by driving over them.

That would be good idea.
For one tank you should have atleast 5 crewmen. Otherwise there would be too many tanks in your army.

Is it possible, if your party member gets 'knocked unconsious' or 'be killed', that he gets downgrade in rank?
If yes, it would be good if tank 'dies', you can fix it again for some money.
So if tank costs 20 grands, then you must pay 10,000 to upgrade 'Broken tank' back to 'Tank'.

@xeuq

What if you owe a factory (when that is added) and/or you are part of the tanks respective faction (so panzer swadia, sherman balion etc) you can get a discount on buying and repairing tanks?
And for every factory a faction has, manufacturing cost and time decreases

Most tanks of the inter war period had relatively small calibers typically - 20mm, 37mm, 40mm, 45mm, 47mm, at the largest 57mm, and the HE capabilities of these tank guns were not impressive, maybe 1m splash at most, and the AP on alot of 57mm guns were excellent a good 80mm plus penetration capable of handling all tanks of the time. Of course the French did design tanks equipped with 75mm howitzers with excellent HE capabilities and usually capable of taking out most tanks except some of the heavier armored tanks. In the event tanks are added, how would the AP and HE work in the game? Would AP damage tanks more than HE and HE damage troops more than HE? And what would armor do? Make it invulnerable to small arms but not to tank gun calibers? Thank you

I'd like to see functioning artillery before tanks. Wouldn't that be more doable? Also, if we're going to have tanks, there should be anti-tank rifle troops, perhaps only recruitable at castles.

Swazis could have this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauser_1918_T-Gewehr, not sure what the respective rifles would be for other factions but WW2 ones would probably be quite suitable for this mod.

I would like seeing a mix of Twilight of the Sun King and Gekokoujo's recruitment.
First of all I have no idea how easy it would be to implement, so my mind will be running wild.
I would personally be in favour of keeping artillery out of the mod. TotSK didn't do artillery in a way I thought worked.
I would like to go into a city and have to pick out the regular troops, the bread and butter of your army. Near limitless supply of these, so you can build an army of them with enough money.
Castles would then have a small amount of manpower. This is where you get your specialists. Prices are a fair amount higher than your regular stuff, but you will get high tier soldiers off the bat.

This only leaves villages, who, depending on the faction is, will give you patriotic townsmen with their fathers guns or whatever they can find lying round.

I quite like the idea of picking up patriots from Swazi villages armed with cheap handguns and lead pipes myself.

I like these ideas. You should post them in the actual suggestion place.
