troop morale low?

Ok so i have an Army of  190 Toops Atm. Is there anyway to keep the morale from getting low and them deserting? i mean i took over the sarrinds and now have my own kingdom and really dont want to fight over and over to keep morale up.  do i just need to get rid of some while at peace or is there another way to get it higher. i know i dont need that many guys but its fun lol. and i saw the thing about troop size giving me -190 morale that sucs lol just want to avert that

Lots of varied food types couldn't hurt but with an army that big you still need to keep fighting.

Yeah, unless you're going for big battles leave your troops at home. Take a dedicated core of powerful cavalry with you to keep up a high map speed. Also; use different foods and avoid taking troops that belong to a faction you're at war with.

Heh i have same problem. When  you are peace just leave your troops at castle and if you dont have any castle then you have to live with it. But when going for big battle get em out and put em in.  i have 200 troop army and i got low morale after one day so its tight. You can increase morale while you fight parties. If you have morale 1 and you have 2 troops and fighting against 79 deserters and you win you will propobly get lot of morale. Infact all  of it, And if u have 100 v 30 you will get about 10-20 morale update. So yeah its tight.

Garrison if you can, fight a group of bandits game daily(30+ preffered) , or just mod it in like I did so my partys morale will always be excellent. (I also made my party max size be 1000 but its very slow so I just put it back to normal)

thanks guys ya i just started leaving them at home run around with about 100 swadian knights and mamelukes morale stays average or above average even at peace and it still feel awesome lol

ah and while im asking questions lol does any1 know how ur vassals u have given land to determine how much to garrison places cause i gave 1 a city and he has only garrisoned about 140 in it while i see a good garrison like 1 of my cities with 300 plus.
how can i get them to garrison more or how does the game determine wat to garrison cause even other factions garrison their cities with alot hell rohdoks captured uxhal from the swadians about a 2 weeks ago in game time and now it has 540 garrison lol.
also is it determined by the cities wealth cause uxhal is very rich but my vassals cities r only average and 1 more lol sorry for the all the questions guess that is wat forums r for though lol. how do i get a citie to be very rich? cause average is no problem but wat is exactly tied into deciding that i know villges r one thing but i cant even get those past averge no matter how much they like me or how much i have done for them like one village i have a +35 standing with and all the improvements and it is still at average. i need help lol
