Troop distribution in battle (infantry, archers, horses)

Recruit
Hello,

could someone explain that to me(?):

My party has about 100 infantry, 120 archers, 80/80 horsemen/-archers.
When I enter a battle with 2 other of my parties, the distribution on the battlefield is like:
90 infantry, 45 archers, 16/6 horsemen/-archers.

The other 2 parties, that are with me have mostly infantry/archers. Is that the problem?
Do I have to put more horsmen into my other parties to get more horsemen on the battlefield.

Also, it would be great (I think, there are enough feature-requests regarding this), that the party AI
needs to be more versatile, to gather troops in a certain manner and to not fight to large enemies and
patrol only in a specific range and/or defend/attack/besiege and much more.

Best regards

In the old games, troops spawn in the top to bottom order, meaning troop stacks placed at the upper rows spawn early. It's probably the same in the new game too. Move the troops you wanna see up in the party screen.

there is still a limit. even if you put 200 archers on top, they all will not go out into the field.
and in older versions, top troops always went out into the field first, and at the end, recruits and other

Sorting did help. I have to experiment further more. Never tought that this does have an impact.
"Some" parts of this game are totaly unintuitive.

Nevertheless I enjoy this game a lot. It let's me think on Defender of the crown.

Thanks again for your help!

Would kind of like something similar to the hideout mechanic if you can't bring all your troop into a battle you should be able to pick your 1st wave of troops

i also feel like its really odd when i am joining a fight of 2 armies and only spawn with 5 guys of my hole party.
i dont know how this is calculated but i hope they will change something about that.

Yeah just like in Warband, the sort order is taken into account when a battle starts. Move a unit to the top and it is more likely they will show up in battle. You can kind of use this are a sort of strategy for large battles as you can kind of determine what Tier and Type of units will show up as reinforcements this way. You can also keep your companions at the bottom of the sort to reduce the likelihood of them entering battle early. In Warband you would always have your weak surgeon load last since wounded calculations in Warband took place after the battle, but you need him on the field from the start in Bannerlord. Of course the problem with this is he usually get knocked out early so you end up half the battle without a surgeon keeping your troops alive anyway.

No, Heroes party's skill/perk works in Bannerlord whatever their actual status while they still in the party.

By the way, troop distribution used to check your Tactic skill to define your own ratio, compared to your enemy and allied lords.
