Trojan alerts?

Might as well make a whole topic about it.

Anyone else have had AVG or other AV programs reacting to the beta file?

Yes, I have AVG antivirus and it must be turned off. It warns you about a Trojan.
Otherwise simply ignore it and install.

it's a false positive cause by the M&B copy protection system (as far as i know).

To prevent this issu you need to tell avg to ignore the folder containing the installer and the folder containing the beta.

in AVG go in menu tool / advanced setting / resident shield/ exceptions / and choose the directories for both the installer and game to be ignored by avg.

Of course that make that specific folder a security risk... but well... not much choice.

If I were you, I would pay for a good antivirus, AVG is always wrong. I have iolo System Mechanic 9 Professional, and it comes with iolo antivirus.

its a false warning. Check the bug/problem thread. The common problems at the top

If you use a better anti-virus than AVG this problem wont happen

(there are better free ones, just throwin it out there)

comodoro antivirus is great thought it is a bit over-protective and you should understand a bit of programs... or you might finish disabling a windows core application lol!(happened to my brother)... my 2 cents
