Now I'm not sure how well known this is to people - but anyways.


When I push in my eyes with my hands / put pressure on them (of course while closed)
and I get the right ammount of pressure, I start seeying totally weird ****. (with my eyes closed) I used to do this a lot as a kid when I was bored just 'cause it can get so pretty.

If you haven't done it, try it. Admittedly, been doing it now, I don't think it's very good for your eyes. Mine hurt a bit. But I saw some reallly neat stuff.

I get checker patterns a lot. This time it started off with big brightly coloured spots appearing as the previous one disappears. Then it got really neat with something that looked like a fractal-level detailed flower. I get a lot of thunder patterns too - I saw like lots of thunder patterns going to the centre. (like veins?) and this all covered with the some bright blue pixels covering it. (blue squares were randomly all over the place)

This stuff is awesome. Anyone else see some awesome ****? I hope I'm not the only one that can experience this. :]


The whole thing interests me, anyone know a scientific name or explanation for it?

Also, yeah, your eyes get blurry and stuff. I wrote the topic with real blurred vision.

If I understand what you say, I'm having the same as you thing. Actually, I have been experimenting with this few years ago. I've put pressure on my eyes, "looked up" (of course eyes were closed) and saw hmm... "totally weird ****". 

It was a set of various circles, loops, squares and everything was on checkered pattern. I have also seen very blinking stuff. I think that content of these ****ty visions is connected with our feelings and experiences. I have noticed that our brain records mostly shapely things - for example I was gathering and eating billberies (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9d/Blaeberry.jpeg) yesterday for the longer part of day.  Then I tried doing this **** ( ) and saw only small, blue billberies. There weren't any other objects, then these fruits.

It is amazing thing and I would like to learn more about scientific explanation.

Same here Exactly the same patterns 'n ****. The checker pattern is a brown/beige colour though.

I mostly get round checker mandalas,and they turn and change color,I get it a lot when I have head aches.

I used to do it as a kid too, got LOADS of weird crap. Trying it now, I don't get that much, I see stuff, but really blurred. I'll try it in a dark room sometime.
