I Really Don't understand the speed of the game when in map mode ... ? I understand speeds relative to other lords and the bandits and things, if they are faster they will catch you... but I absolutely loath the long times spent in the map world chasing some god damn bandits or a lord who is just a Tiiiny bit slower than you and then it turns to night and you cant find him any more, or if i want to start a war with the faction on the other side of the map i will most likely click the other side of the map, go away and make a cup of tea... watch some tv, check my emails on another pc and then return to find i have been bandit raped early on and am stuck on a dialogue page with a toothless thug in eyesight of my castle. I just want a button, i dunno, ctrl or something, could be anything, which just accelerates the speed to levels which mean i dont get bored in between battles, as i do appreciate the map stages give purpose to the battles etc. but im still much more interested in the fighting than the endless trot from one castle to another.
To sum up. I think the game should have a feature which allows one to begin travelling to a point on the map, check the bandit situation, hold ctrl (or just any button) and arrive at the destination. The ability to let time slow down again by lifting your finger off the button ( if you suddenly spot bandits zooming at you and want to reassess) is probably also required. Currently this problem is what stands between me and getting back to what i believe is a very good game with only very easily fixable flaws.
cheers,
Pedro
