Will there be Translations of the mod? How many people are interessted and wich languages would be requested? Could there be a english protoype-file, which only have to be translated in each language?

Well, it is being developed in english, I have no idea about that and although its my second language, I've never really considered it. Feel free to post a poll if you like.

Could there be a english protoype-file, which only have to be translated in each language?

Sounds nice.

Ok, we have 50 votes here, just like in the alpha-version-poll. Is this enough to consider such a "english protoype-file"?
by the way: Will there be any kind of special music inthe mod?

It is, I'd have to see exactly which files need to be translated, though, and also find people willing to do that.

Will there be any kind of special music inthe mod?

I've been considering that. I use custom music myself, but unfortunately they're copyrighted, so I cannot distribute. I'm open to suggestions.

I think all music is copyrighted bud,
btw Daemonia Nymphe - Daemonos,

Good one to prebattle and campaign map

I would say, let the translations to post releases, simply because the mod will be released in English, the common language to all of us, no matter if you are german, spanish or even chinese, everybody understand, or should understand English.

So, once the alpha were out, then the team could concentrate in translate it.(spaniards usually take the mod and translate for ourselves)

So, I consider translation as a secondary thing.

When I was working on TPW's demonstration version, I remember browsing through a site with free music, mostly instrumental, some of them quite nice, themes that could be used for this kind of project. It's been at least three or four years I've seen that, though, I have no idea where to find that.

EDIT:

I have no problem with compiling a template file for people to translate into their native languages, I just find it'll be a bit hard to find people willing to actually spend hours over it.

I would make the translation into german. There was also somebody who made the french translation for Brytenwalda by his self. Maybe there will be also some people here who make other translations.

Yes, thats cool. From that poll result, I believe a german, french and turkish would be enough. Once all my text files are done, I'll post a thread or use yours to get some people who might be interested in that. To make things simple I'll just list what needs to be translated in a simple doc file then people can send me their saved work. It'll be pretty much the same process we're doing for scenes, then some small optional translation files would just be uploaded in the main thread for people interested in them.

By the way L. is it possible to add a new music that suits the time period of the Peloponnesian War mod?
I really hate that Native M&B and Warband music.

It is, the problem is finding one that I can use without copyright problems. I'll see if I can find that site I mentioned above.

So by adding a new music to the mod it will get the job a lot longer to be done or not?Just asking cause i'm so exited about this mod.

P.S:A modification for Rome:Total War called Roma Surrectum 2 has a nice music (for Greeks)...you could use something like that if u ever heard some of those soundtracks.

I can try to help you by searching for some music of this time period of the mod...if you want.

Not at all. Translations won't delay it, neither will music or scenes. Those can all be made as extra content and independent downloads. Sure, let me know if you find anything nice. It just cannot be copyrighted as in unavaible to non-commercial projects.

Hey dudes,

The MB 1866 mod has FANTASTIC songs. That guy was awesome at selecting songs. Just give it a try and you will know what I´m talking about.

Maybe we could learn from him about how he did that.

Yeah I bet, Highlander and his friend are great modders, I know his works back from the old days. I'll PM him later and see if he got that customly made by some friend or just downloaded them somewhere. Might even be the same site I saw a few years ago, who knows.

Yeah...but i think the music isn't your priority at the moment, you should look at some other things which aren't done yet....if they are, then music is your next important task

Good luck L.

I would translate to Hebrew, but there would be absolutely no need for it. Plus, I'm pretty sure not Latin languages are not supported by M&B.
