One is the "" line break:
I noticed that too. I believe the BBCode for a line on the Nexus is either [line] or [rule]. Can't remember which, but it shouldn't be hard to add it to the BBCode filters.
The other is the mini description that shows up when searching. Right now it seems to be a cut from the main description (or rather a direct extract from the start of it). Will that be modifiable when we have access to our files?
Yes, there's a "Small description" text box (355 characters max I think) and a "Large description" box when adding new mods or editing current ones. The small description is what you see in the category view, and in search results. So a small preview of what the mod contains. The large description is the full mod description/blurb that is on the mod page itself. As the Repository doesn't use that system I've just had to make do with taking the first 355 characters from the main mod description as the Small description. So, TL;DR: Yes, you can change it easily!
I agree, the singleplayer only categories are a bit useless when you look at it put together. Large Mods is a little vague as well though. Maybe "Modules" and "Multiplayer Only"? It might be worth adding a Maps category to resources as well
If people could come to some consensus about the categories within the next 18 hours or so that would be great. I'm almost done here!
I've also emailed a few of the Taleworlds guys about running a money off promotion to coincide with the launch of M&B Nexus. The thinking being if you offer 3.4 million people a chance to get Mount & Blade for 10% - 20% off because they're super cool then they're probably more likely to buy it, which is good for everyone! Haven't heard anything yet, but want to give them more time to respond.
On a completely unrelated note, I know it's (very, very) early days yet, but are there any plans to add NMM support for M&B files sometime in the future?
I'd love to do that. I can't do that (myself, personally) as I'm not coding NMM. However, NMM is completely open source and getting new game support to work with NMM (I'm told) is not very difficult at all. You "just" need to know C#/.NET and have a bit of time on your hands. If there was someone, or a few people, in this community who wanted to take on this project I would do everything in my power to help them, and I can link them up with the current NMM developer for help and support.
I've actually just put up a new job opening on the sites for a full-time C#/.NET developer (it's a paid position) so if anyone is interested in that, you could kill two birds with one stone: get M&B support in to NMM and get paid to do it. Otherwise, we'll probably get around to doing it eventually, but probably not before some major new features are added to NMM, and probably Dragon Age support as well (as they've been waiting longer for it!). I know the dev is absolutely swamped as it is, hence the new job opening, so it's slow going at the moment.
