Training Tips, help needed

Sergeant at Arms
I am playing nords,

i'm level 20, with 45party size,
with deshavi(path finder,tracker,etc) and alayen(my trusted nord from a vaegir father), trying to find ymira now for surgery.\

i train troops by fighting 20sea raiders with 40 low tiered nords, which usually ends up losing half of them, but upgrading lvls like hell for the rest of them, then recruit more nords, rinse and repeat,

it seems like the best way to train, cause the training arena is too slow,(dunno if this is effected by trainer skill, or any other modifier, but they always get below 50exp, and always give the most exp to troops that are already high tiered, rather than my recruits,

is there any other way to train troops effectively?

tried searching the forums, but to no avail.
only found one where you train your companion to a high level, with high trainer... but its out of reach, for now

1. Give your NPCs lots of trainer skill (I have 2-3 points each)
2. Get some ranged proficiency and solo those 20 sea raiders on horse. There are usually just 1 or 2 bowmen, shoot those first and you're golden.

It's slow going when your character is low level but once you hit level 15 or so, you can kill them easily.

1)My companions are just level 7-9.. and they have trainer skills, but only for those recruits and footmens,  :oops: :oops:

2) I can solo 20raiders well before level 15, given a horse, sword and shield, I fight raiders to give exp to my troops, hence making the problem. it seems one raider is as strong as a veteran nord, or maybe my veteran nord is as weak as one raider

or do you mean to let my troops hold position, solo the raiders and only give my troops the shared exp at the end?

Get Jeremus and put all his points into the three healing skills.

Train recruits up to militia in the training grounds before fighting battles. Doesn't take long and they have a better chance of surviving.

Re: NPCs

You just need to get them to the trained footmen level to get that big jump in survivability. And get a few more heroes, the trainer points add up.

Yes. Boring but necessary when you don't have many high level troops.

If you don't want to do that then fight bandits and looters. They're much easier than sea raiders.

u can modify the game

find module.ini file in native folder

player_xp_multiplier  = 2.0;
hero_xp_multiplier    = 2.0;
regulars_xp_multiplier = 3.0;

write greater numbers for more xp

whats the maximum multiplier you can have before the game crashes or something?

I've found that putting the trainer points on the PC instead of the NPCs is more effective, seeing as how the PC is generally the highest level character in the party.  5 points in trainer and I never need to bother with training my troops up on bandits.  Works well for me, at least.

Try to find and hire Lezalit would be my suggestion. He starts with a trainerskill of 4 points right away which helped me alot in the beginning. But i dont know  if he likes or dislikes alayen.
