Town Hates me but the villages love me??

Howdy,

So i started my own kingdom... i might have cheated a lil to help get the bowl rolling, but i took Din Cado and set myself up.

I am in a was with dumnonia which has stretched out for a few months and my town Din Cado HATES me, i am at like -11 rep with them... i dont understand why? All i did was build a religious conversion (but they were already Old germanic gods like me) so what is going on?

All of my towns and most that i come across have +20-50 liking for me without me doing anything for them...


Is there a way to increase rep in towns besides the 1 point for buying drinks at tavern or hoping a competition will be help and you can win it? which btw i find no matter what i do to get it back up it drops back down within days...


Is it because i am at war?

Is there a religion difference between you and the city?  The villages are pretty forgiving if you have a reputation for helping the peasants but the towns are a harder nut to crack.  Lower the taxes there and build any temple building you need right away, this should help.  Also keep making fife improvements, the better off the town is the more they will like you for it.

I had forgotten about taxes...

I always build a religious converter asap,however the city was fine and was same faith

Also, regarding faith, the town/village will report as your faith as soon as the temple is built but what really matters here is how many people you have converted.  Your constible can give you a report on this.
