Town garrison

Once you capture a castle you get the option to manage the garrison, i've captured a few towns now and all of them have a manage town option but no manage garrison. How do you defend these things?

To manage garrison option is under the Keep... You need to get into keep, then manage garrison...

Did you capture the castle on your own or are you part of a faction? It may be that you captured a castle but the fief was not granted to you by the faction leader /shrug

This only works in towns, not castles. Castles have their "Manage Garisson" button on the front page.
