SP - General Tournament variety

Some variety in tournaments would be nice. Some ideas on this have already been suggested like maybe some different events, like jousting, swords, free-for-alls, etc. But please, pleeease at the very least make an option to choose what type of weapon you wish to use in the tournament (as well as arena). That option is really needed badly. Also, something connected so I'll mention it here, why don't companions keep their prizes when they win tournys?

Aside from events in towns it might be good to have events in villages, for example shooting contests, that would allow a player to improve skills in his or her chosen type of weapon early on in the game without risking death, injury or capture in battle or having to attend arena games where random weaponry is assigned.

Different locales and locations, (other than cities) is definitely a great idea. Smaller events with lesser rewards would make sense.

This has been suggested for a long time including by myself but they have utterly ignored such ideas so dont get your hopes up. They are just going to glide along, soak up steambucks and laugh knowing they can deliver a half baked product and make bank.
