Since patch5, first thing. It is the first thing under battle, by balancing changes.

Rome II looked promising too dude, don't get sucker-punched!
So much this. Remember "Siege of Carthage" video they showed us. And remember what we got at release.

It's weird, I got a new computer just now, first thing I downloaded was Rome 2, and the benchmark looks exactly like that screenshot. But when I went ingame, it looked normal.

Anyway, considering I'm enjoying Rome 2 so far, I might get Attila, though I think I'll wait for the summer sales.

Something is making those lads angry.

I hope my pre-order was not a mistake like the Rome 2 pre-order. I would have been better getting it a few months post release, though I would have found that impossible to do.

God, you people are so ****ing stupid it hurts.

It will be a mistake because it will be the same situation with Rome 2 that it always is, seriously. How do you not get it? It will always be the same way if you pawns consistently throw money at them before the product is even close to release, because by pre-ordering every single game you make it profitable to do things this way.

Rome 2's disaster was profitable, and the Attila disaster will be profitable.

Since this is more or less exactly Napoleon 2.0, it probably won't be a complete disaster when compared to the game it should have been an expansion to instead of some standalone bull****, but you're right.
Pre-ordering this after Rome 2 happened is stupid as hell.

While still holding to that point though, I'd like to preemptively apologize for directly calling Glycerius 'so ****ing stupid it hurts', that was pretty damned rude reading it again after I've woken up a little.

The point still stands though, sort of...
Come on dude, you've pre-ordered another Total War game without getting a chance to watch it work out first. What's in it for you to pre-order so early? Why don't ya just wait until release and see what the hullaballo is? You're not missing out on some cool limited edition boxart or game manuals these days. :???:

I get even more annoyed because it hurts me as well. The problem with the total war market is a classic economic case of a market with one seller, but many large unorganized buyers.

I have to say I'm impressed at the significant improvements to the politics system that was in that campaign playthrough posted earlier, it looks like what Rome II's political system should have been in the first place, not to mention an actual improvement over previous games in the series. Overall the campaign map improvements look quite substantial but none of that is enough to get me to preorder the game, or even buy it at full price.
