The majority of positions are based on the number of medals a team has won, and who they beat to get those medals, but in some cases additional weight is given to certain time periods and to certain tournaments in which there was a very high level of competition. For instance, ECS2 was a tournament which was hotly contested by AE, KURWA, Freelancers and Irish Rebels, so F's victory there carries more weight than something like Unity's victory in the Warband Blitz League, where there was a much lower level of competition.
For me the Top 3 will always be AE, Kurwa, and Freelancers (maybe Freelancers above K). At their peak they were all huge teams and they pushed competition forward. Isn't to say FT aren't a good team or had their moments of being dominant, they have and they've been consistent, but these 3 clawed their way to the top at a time of intense competition. In many ways the recent scene has had more "good" teams, but I don't think it's ever reached the clash of titans status of AE vs KURWA or Freelancers.

I definitely agree that the point in Warband when there was the most intense competition was when those three teams were all at the top level of Warband, and I have given the most credit to medals won during that era - hence why Freelancers is in 3rd and KURWA is in 4th as Freelancers won ECS2 (imo the most contested tournament of all time). However, this list is also about longevity and consistency over time; a brief peak (such as that which Union & 30A had) is worthy of credit, but it doesn't mean much in terms of "All Time". I think FT had moments of domination on a level that is unrivalled in Warband's history, such as when they didn't lose a single set in the entire WNL6 league stage, and FT essentially replaced AE as the team to beat after AE went inactive. It's a tough call but I think that FT's consistency at the top level in a larger number of tournaments is worth more in an All Time list.
Sure there's arguments for both and I can see why you've done it this way, I was just giving my personal view of why I think a true all-time list should be weighted more towards the Kurwa/Freelancer era (than even you have done). And to be fair, to be dominating you need to win the tournament as well...

Two things I wonder most about the list are how you are going to list IG rosters, because I think they had way a lot people in the past, and secondly, are you going to continue on ranking teams or is it only Top 10 or something? Because I believe there should be some other teams even though it's based on medals won, there should be some other medal-winning teams that could make their way to 10th place (besides Wonwokie) in this list.

We did win a major with the considered best of all time involved, beaten by another team which we rolled. And after that stomped 3 times the team in the next competition the one who also defeated AE on group stage without dropping a single set. What Gibby stated is a fact, and what you did aswell, after WNL6 GS it went downhill and we didn't even finish with a win on that tour but it doesnt take away the consistency we had for 6months-1 year and to still be top afterwards.
Back in the days there were more teams competing at the top level, but quantity doesn't translate into quality I believe is what gibby's trying to explain. Besides the fact that from 2017-2018 tours u can also see Aequalitas, Castellan, GWB or strong merc teams and indeed Unity around, not like AE or FT had a free paths through these wins.
It's pretty hard to do these and this is relatively accurate. Maybe IG getting a bit of a raw deal given how long they were dominant for.
On a personal note I always felt like the best team I played ever against was KURWA but they didn't really win as much as some of the other teams so I can see why the list is the way it is.

Even AE at their top still had the occasional loss, I think you have to go back to the first WNL to see an unbeaten team at the top (and they had a draw)."

Agree Charlini it's just my personal view that KURWA and Freelancers hit higher peaks at a time when a lot of people were gunning hard at the game, and propelled the scene then. FT had a dominant run for sure but I just value the former more (probably tinged with nostalgia as well).

I would say AE-Freelancers and Kurwa top 3. I know i haven't played in higher level matches for a while but i feel like FT haven't face the level of competition as the others? AE won wnl 6 and as you said FT became the team to beat when AE went afk but it looks like FT were really the only real team with top players left at that point consisting of strong core AE players and other top level players from inactive teams . FT are a great team for sure but i think the fact Kurwa and Freelancers had harder levels of competition will give them the edge for a lot of people.

Freelancers was fun to watch, Menethil winning by flag against whole AE team on the last round in the finals on field by the river, absolutely insane. On another note, the third updated 2017 FT roster was by far the best, especially being the first FT tournament win (WSC).
That's very true, however, the first medal FT won they only had 1 AE player. FT is currently the only team that's participated in the WNL and won all their group stage matches (obviously until knockouts) and that team had no AE players.
