My first idea (If you like it, vote FOR the idea. Thanks!): Improvements to the system in the game: POLICY
Hello everyone, in my new topic I want to think and answer the question "What should I do if I grabbed the entire map?"
So. The first thing that occurred to me was the riot system. I think that at the end of the game, many players think what to do, but if the peasants or some lords periodically began to rebel against the king, this would extend the life of the game. Since you want the game to not end on the fact that you grabbed the entire map.In addition to the banal battles, reasons for which developers can come up with themselves (Riot, large gangs, overseas attacks, etc.). I want to propose to do some "Quests for the king". These quests will be endless, but similar (As in the game: The Witcher 3). There will be variability, but for starters you can make it not big.
Examples of quests:
- "Distant guests": A retinue has arrived in your kingdom from neighboring islands. You must meet them at one of the coastal cities. On the way to the capital, you must accompany them and protect them from attacks along the way. In the capital during the meeting you can start a conversation from which you will find out that they have come to ask for help. According to the plot, their islands began to be attacked often and they needed people and money for protection. If you give them your vassals and money, then in a few days you will receive back your people and money with decorations to your castle. With the help of decorations, you can decorate your palace (IMPORTANT: The reward can be changed. Also, if you give too little money / soldiers, then you will not be returned to anyone and your relationship will deteriorate).
- "Hunger riot": Villagers / towns begin to own a town / castle / village due to lack of food. If you want to visit this place, then first you have to eliminate the rebellion. There will be 2 ways: Strength (Kill all rebels) or Words (Use the dialogue to find out how much food they need and other requirements).
- "Taxes": Every month you will have to visit all your possessions and possessions with your squad where you refused to pay money. On certain days, you can go to the villages and walk to significant places. When all taxes are in your pocket you will have to deliver the money to the capital. You may be attacked on the way. It can also happen that people don’t want to pay and then there will be the following options: Do not ask for money for this month, but next time the fee will be higher or Do not ask for money from the property for some time or Force them to give livestock, food and fire the headman / chapter. In places where initially they did not want to give money, it would be necessary to restore order.
- "The Great Return": The son (or someone else) of one of the former kings decided to capture you and successfully lures one of the successful lords who will help him. And here begins not a big capture of the map on a new one (Fun, I know).
- "Heir": After the death of each lord, it will be possible to choose who will get his legacy.
- And other quests that you can offer in the comments.
In addition to quests and warriors, after capturing the map, I have the following idea: Each gaming week, you can make a "Royal Reception of citizens." Various people who need something will come to the reception and you will decide what to do in their situation. They can ask for money, people, food, new vassals, protection, etc. (Examples of games where you can spy on the implementation: Yes, Your Grace, Reigns).
It is also worth adding more events and events to the game after capturing the card (Holidays, weddings of other lords, the appointment of new lords, etc.)
I also advise that politics flourish after the capture of the card. Only so that the lords decide who to give the castle after the death of another lord, which possessions should provide financial assistance, distribute money and other important issues. At the end of the game, there is a lot of money / influence points and there is nowhere to spend them, so you need to fix it.
I would like more variety of peace laws that would give not only bonuses, but also some opportunities for the player or for the NPCs or even for the territories. For example, if you adopt the serfdom law, so that people say that they do not like it and they start riots more often. And other laws should somehow influence the environment, and not just give a bonus. This is, after all, an Action / RPG game. Need more RPG elements at the end of the game because there is nothing special to do.
As a result, when you capture the entire map, you will be able to: Perform special quests, decide the fate of people, fully manage the state, people and its political system (laws, intrigues and of course big and not very battles). I really want to continue after the capture of the entire map of the game, now this is one of the main problems of the game. All this will improve the game when everything is captured. In peacetime, in real life, kings and his people also had business, but this is not developed in the game, I hope this will be fixed and in the end the game will show why we fought and captured the castles. The game can be endless like The Witcher 3 and show peacetime as well as military time (Example: Crusader Kings II). Please pay attention to my suggestions and give comments. Waiting for your questions / additions / support (?), thanks!
