Top notch game, few suggestions though

Greetings everyone, downloaded game Friday and couldn't stop playing it. You guys really nailed it, with the fighting and the horse riding, etc., its all really thought out and fun, something most developers have forgotten about. But i thought I might put in my two cents:
- Beginning levels of archery accuracy are hurrendous, the curve is too sharp. I think it ought to be a little more accurate in the beginning.
- Probably you need to make it so the smaller your party is the less aggro it has. I understand that the point is for pirates to go after weak people and parties, but i think it should start at parties being at 2, so that solo people can get less agro (I've hit my comp once or twice on merchant runs, losing all the salt in battles)
- Battles are too hard in the beginning. I don't recall winning ones until way later. There should be parties of 1 and 2 WE should be able to chase, instead of being chased 24/7.
- All towns should be open aired like the first. One aspect that really caught me in the beginning was the town, but then when i saw all the others, my spirits dampened somewhat. No biggy tho, dont get me wrong.

Thanks for listening up, you really did make a wonderful game. And 2 people making it really inspires me when i start my game developing career (I'm 15)
cheers

Keep in mind that the game is nowhere near 'complete' currently. It's only version 0.6 right now. v1.0 will probably be the point where Armagan is happy that it's feature/content complete.

As for the currently identical towns - keep in mind that modelling towns takes time and effort. I have a feeling what we're seeing are mostly just placeholders.

i think its fine.
i play at 89% difficulty and 6 or 7 river pirates at lvl 1 arent a big problem ;)
and if you have a look, you can find 4 or 5 man groups too.

Starting out is kind of a drag. If you're patient and persistent, you'll do fine. When you're soloing, don't wade into the enemy. Do quick passes on the stragglers. As long as you stay mobile and on your mount, you're about as invincible as it gets.

As for the aggro thing, usually the smaller your party the faster you travel so while you're being chased, you can easily outpace most of the bad stuff. Its also been toned down a bit as the Dark Knights don't seem to make a beeline for you and you alone.

Thanks for your praises and encouragement. We'll do our best to add more detail to the towns. The game being too difficult at the beginning is mostly to do with the fact that player is new to it. You'll find it easier as you play along ;)

I can confirm this. When i restarted i had no problems blasting my way through bandits of all sorts with only Marnid by my side, getting for me a heraldric armor.

When the player will gain experience... it will almost be like if the character got ten levels or so :)

I third that. First time I played, I had trouble with even the basic fighting training.

Now those 12 guys fall in a few seconds each, and my first few fights involve a lot of happy peasants, and a lot of dead pirates.
