Hey, I DID search this board first for an answer for this, but someone asked and no one answered in FAQ. anyone have a solution? I installed enhanced combat animations a while ago, i'm guessing that's the problem so I'm re-downloading m&b warband, but is that not the solution? has anyone else had this problem?

might want to give more detail because  I dont get what the problem is, I get it's with animation but not what the problem with animation is...  ( maybe im too dump but ohh well...

sorry... It's when I load the game, It gets past loading module ini. Then it starts loading textures, it stops about 3/4ths of the way through the loading bar, and after a few seconds it will crash and give me that pop up window saying "too many variation on mesh Copy"

(copy is capitalized in the message.... is that important?)

1) The Support or Bug reports thread would have been the proper place for something like this. Support would probably have been best. No need to start a new thread...that's why we have the stickies. Makes things messy for us to track and respond to.

2) Your problem is still very unclear. Are you using Basic or Expanded? (I'm not sure how the CAEnhancement matters here...it is already included in the Expanded mod pack, for instance.) Exactly what did you install/where?

3) Your rgl_log.txt would be helpful...though I'm guessing the problem lies in your installation rather than the mod itself.

I'm sorry, I didn't notice that sticky. I'm using basic.
About the combat animations, I was just worried because I installed it in the m&b main game directory in program files.

I just copied/pasted the folder into my modules folder, replacing regular native (I backed it up first). I then followed the instructions to the best of my ability, but a bunch of the things in item_kind1 that I was supposed to delete were not there. There were similar things, like some had = fla_ at the beginning (after the load resource thing) but the name was the same for the rest of it.

Basic does not include the Combat Animation Enhancement. So there should not be any overlap there.

You aren't supposed to delete anything in item_kinds1...you just change the number near the top and add lines near the end.
As for editing module.ini, comment out/remove everything from the instructions that you can find. Some of the lines in the instructions won't be there. Make sure you add all of the lines noted.

See my response to this thread: question about installing for some more pointers about installing.

Regardless, it might be best for you to "start over". Take your backup of Native, make a new copy for Floris Basic, and try adding it to that. If you've changed skeletons.brf for the Combat Animation Enhancement, be sure to include the file actions.txt from your working Native folder in your Floris Basic mod folder so it correctly references them. And if you make any changes to the module.ini for the animations, be sure those changes are present in your Floris Basic module.ini
