No matter what I do or try or...anything!  I can't make them game hard there is only one time its hard is in the beginning and if you become a masterless warlord, and that even gets too easy sometimes, I need help.  I've tried mods, the whole song and dance nothing just takes up room and gives me little to do with the game, I'm getting bored.

All the mods you've tried are really too easy? After taking a gander at Expanded Gameplay I find that a bit difficult to believe.
Or you could try Warband.

Really, too easy? what's your game difficulty? (find it under options).
Make sure damage is set to normal and you have manual blocking.
Being a masterless warlord requires you to take a castle on your own. That should be a little tough.

But I agree that if you take it slow and don't take any chances, the game is easy.

When ramping all the diffuculty options up to full, I find the game anything but easy...Especially on a claimant quest or when outnumbered.

I suppose some people are just too awesome for M&B...

i know what you mean you use to many cheats

I would assume what he's referring to is that the game starts off hard and gets progressively easier, to the point it's way too easy eventually. Seriously, how many people ever finish a game? You reach a point relatively early where every battle is a guaranteed win.

As to difficulty settings - normal can be a challenge for the first month or so of a game, but eventually it still becomes too easy. Fights all come down to movement and weapon speed. Once you can move and swing faster than the enemy (around 8 athletics and 400 weapon skill in most mods) you can solo whole armies, on normal settings.

heres a chalange make a lvl one charecter then export it download revenge of the breserk then import it and follow the story line

Or even just start as a man in the mod.  It will be hard enough.  In my mod I deliberately threw two powerful late entrance factions in just because of the situation you describe.  I never finished native either.  Once I wiped out my first faction I realized it would be simple to kill the rest and got bored.

Chaos War's Lords having 2000 health could also be considered a good challenge as well.

I must agree the game gets easier in the end and after I eliminated my first faction I got bored... I play on normal settings avarage everything... and my personal killing record in a battle is 356 2 waves one siege on my castle and a tower that have never reached my walls =]

I recomend playing 1866 western its quite challanging and fun ^_^ shame its not finshed yet... but still I enjoy playing it hehe

I think this person either doesn't know about the difficulty settings or hes just full of it. Without a doubt I don't think anyone could solo an army of 50 forest archers on max difficulty without cheating.

The game is played for fun, not to harp on about how many looters we can kill while naked and blind-folded.

For all we know, the thread starter might be a god of fighting, or maybe a craven cheater...

Either way, we all know M&B is moddable, with many difficulty settings, so boredom is unlikely...

I hate cheating so I haven't done that, (didn't know you could don't tell me either) but thanks I didn't know about the difficulty settings. *facepalm* I'm stupid...

lol i go down in 3 good hits with normal damage. i have all lordly plate armor. try fighting on ground. it just makes the game so much more fun. you won't regret it.

Apart from cranking up the difficulty settings  there are many tweaks you get in a lot of the mods which make it more realistic and challenging, weaker horses is a one example, just one decent stab from anything pointy is all it takes and your horse is crippled and you find yourself rolling on the deck at the feet of 50 enemy, or any of the mods which have the really long pikes, or morale where if you are not inspiring enough on the field ie killing a few, some of your your allies will flee the field.

You're replying with irrational hostility. He never said that he can solo whole armies. He merely said that the game gets easy near the end and that is true.
In the end, when you already have an army of elite troops, almost every battle is a guaranteed victory. There's no more challenge.

Agreed - And that's where mods come in - Or merely starting a new character...

Well, about mods...
I've noticed that there is always one elite unit that you can have in large quantities. PoP is an exception, I even used cheats and I still can't upgrade the troops to Knights! I bet the player will only have less than 10 of those knights in his entire game because of the enormous amount of Xp needed to upgrade.

True, but the game getting easier near the end is kind of how RPG style games work or anything with character development. You may be fighting a harder boss type character in a typical RPG as you progress, but in general say with Oblivion or similar by the time you're over level 25 or so and have tons of elite armour and weapons you can just wander all over the map and kill everything with ease the challenge goes out the window, it's gameplay tweaks and mods that keep all these games going.
