A woman allegedly used her young child as a weapon in a fight on a Toronto streetcar. She shouldn't just be charged with assault for the fight, but with child abuse for what she did to the little girl.

On June 29th, a woman in Toronto got into an altercation on a public transit streetcar, and allegedly proceeded to use her three-year-old child as a weapon to hit the other woman. She later got off the streetcar and walked away, with her child.

Luckily, the little girl was not hurt during the attack — at least not physically. I would, however, be very concerned about the child's mental and emotional state, and the child's future in the care of a woman who is not afraid to use her as a weapon.

I couldn't help but chuckle a bit after reading this.

Hmm, so is that blunt damage? Or piercing if it has sharp nails? Wonder what kind of weapon specialization you need for that.

I bet you could really get the most out of it by using it as a thrown object.

I'd rule it a blunt improvised weapon, as toddlers weren't really designed for it. I'd halve the 'to hit' penalty if both hands were used though, as the legs would make good handles.

I've been trying to figure out if there's a status effect applied to the target on a critical hit.

Improv weapons only get a x2 multiplier. A toddler may look impressive, but they're unwieldy and far less effective than a bat.

...We're all going to hell.

this is why we need security cameras in trollies, I should be able to see the woman using her toddler as a blunt instrument so I can critique her technique!

Hrm. Drawback is not very high durability.

Indeed. Depends on how you hold it though. Grab it by the ankles and a good two-handed swing'll knock anyone out. Might have to replace the head though. It'll leave a hell of a mess. Great for shock value, if you're the optimistic type.

*sigh* Just don't make maces like they used to, I guess.

Additionally, if you're the target, you'd have to worry about being disarmed by those grabby little hands.

I wonder if it has crush through block? Im relatively sure it gets the unbalanced trait after a few hours of use.
