My typical game (out of the 3 attempts I gave it pretty much went at followed.
By Day 40-50 Western Empire fell generally to Battania.
By Day 150 most of Northern Empire has fallen.
By Day 200 Southern empire has taken a couple Aserai towns.
By Day 250 Battania and Khurait control their own territory + most/all of the Empire + some other random towns/castles.
Haven't tried again since 1.0.6 as I'm waiting for some more major changes.

Yeah, the Khuzaits have completely taken the eastern portion of the map in my playthrough... They are unstoppable.

This is exactly what I was wondering. I thought it might have something to do with the quest, but it appears not so, as you have essentially completed the quest, and destroyed the Empire.

Did you complete the quest? If not, definitive answer may be that the deck is stacked against the player.

Yes I completed the quest and have destroyed the empire. Now I just have to survive the steamrolling Kuhzaits!! I had wanted to use the banner myself but if I had kept my holdings the Battanians would have declared war on my new Kingdom and I would have been squeezed between them and the Kuhzaits and giving me a ZERO chance of survival.
i failed th quest then they all started spazzing on my faction lol weird

they werent fighting each other for a couple months then 1 started fight the other but was still at war with 4 other factions....so stupid

Nearly 700 days in as a Khuzait Vassal, with my help we have completely taken over all of the imperial native lands. We by far have the most land. But what I have noticed with these most recent updates is that we cannot keep up with such a large area when 2-3 factions are at war with us at any given moment. We were steamrolling now we are dwindling, and I cannot be more happy that my faction is starting to wane.

Another thing i noticed is garrison being a lot stronger now. Which is a good thing. Before you rarely see more than 200 defenders, but now i've seen 500+ defenders on big towns, making it hard even with 800+ men armies to take down.
Southern empire in my playthrough only a city remain, but all nobles are there to defend it. 900+ defenders in a big city, that is hard to take down. Even the strongest faction doesnt dare to attack.

I run heavy on mods and my game is actually pretty well balanced out in terms of faction power most of the time. I have noticed however that horse archers seem to get an obscene advantage in autocalc battles as ive lost an entire troop of 40 t5-t7 inf and archers along with the lord I was helping who had 30+ of his own fairly balanced group of soldiers to a measly 26 mid tier horse archers that suffered about 3 casualties while our armies were completely destroyed. I think whatever advantage that horse archers are recieving in autocalc as well as the sheer speed of cavalry on the map is contributing to the khergit taking over quickly in alot of games as all the npc lord battles are decided through autocalc.

ive got it to the point of a stale mate and has been for a good ingame year without any mods
my faction battania own half the map and western empire hold the other and not much progress has been made and even if settlements change hands they will end up back in the other sides possession and is rather fun my villiage keeps getting raided so i decided to sit nearby and wait for raider to attack it and chase them down and capture the lord must have about 10 lords in my dungeon
