well i believe every unit has his advantages and disadvantages
for example
companion cavalry probably will have longest spears (advantage)
but they haven`t Shields (disadvantage)
the horses probably will be also slowest (disadvantage)
the bronze breastplate cuiras (advantage)
kopis (advantage)
other cavalry types could be something like
Nubian cavalry:
fastest horses (advantage)
small shields (advantage)
throwing weapons (advantage)
light armor or no armor (disadvantage)
Celtic cavalry
average speed for horses (advantage)
great horse maneuver (advantages)
shields (advantage)
average length spear (+-)
cavalry type sword (probably longer than footmans have) (advantage)
chainmail armors (average advantage)
well i think if we have so much balance questions now then what will be when we start add elephants, balsitas and charriots?
will you again say that this will be unfair if the balista will kill you no matter you have shield or you haven't?
