TLD (The Last Days, LOTR mod) for M&B 1.011 Info

Since obviously you don't like our design decisions, and the disappointment is mounting, we've had a long talk, and decided to postpone the release until we've put in everything west of the Misty Mountains into the mod, create additional factions, skeletons for hobbits, another few dozen items, script it all together, etc.

We had the best intention to release the mod very soon, but since, obviously you'd be well disappointed with a mod with no hobbits faction in it, we'll put all of it in! Hooray!

Of course this pushes the release back a bit...to...shall we say...Spring?

First off, I'd just like to come out of my lurk and say I look forward to the mod, whenever it is released and in whatever form that may be.

That said, those people do -not- speak for the majority! Midgets are overrated anyway.

I would advise you just release it as it is, and patch those in later if they community wants it. People here are too needy, and want everything done for them and handed to them -- don't tend to their needs.

At least you didn't say "east", because if I saw pseudo Japanese (seriously, some wargaming brand I forget the name of that did the 'official' lotr sets has the Variags being "Flag-on-back" samurai complete with Hojo triforces) I'd write a very very unhappy topic on your forums!

1. What was in the 0.808 version?
2. What did the devs say will be in the 1.011 version?
3. What is likely to be in a MaB-like gameplay mod?
4. What am I hoping for and would it really fit in there?
5. Is it at all important for the War of the Ring?
6. Is this thing I want from the movies? Was it also in the book?

You may prevent a lot of disappointment this way.

Fair enough, best to avoid the hype train, especially early on. Once you feel that first wave of disappointment wash over you it can be a lot more difficult to place yourself in a position to actually try again.

You know, you may release as how it is, so you won't have to continue bluffing. Hmm, depends on community's mostly-irrevelant picked suggestions, you may as well add that those little pranks within the mod as you fit with some patches.

(By the way, i just learned this mod is going to take place in Some Different parts, sorry about my last comments about Aragorn and suchra.)
