Changelog:

TLD 3.23 changes:
- CppCoder:
  - Animal Ambushes become less likely the more attacks you've experienced.
  - Morale System Tweaks (should make it more enjoyable and playable)
  - Guldur and Mordor resource sharing bug fixed. (hopefully  )
  - Spiders are less powerful (5-10 damage per melee strike, was 10-20)
  - Mordor legions more powerful and balanced.
  - Quest for dead lords are ended.
  - Minor tweaks.

Now that the code is public, can you make available the versioned repo somewhere, mate?
I know that you are using SVN, having the entire history and be able to see how it advanced though the time would nice to have.

Also, is very useful to know why and when someone put that line of code there. Makes it very useful to debug and improve.
Just think about it, an humble suggestion. Would ease a possible port to Warband.

I can help you with it. Just contact me.

And who's gonna pay for the traffic?
What? Any site like Bitbucket or Github will host the repo for free, while actively promoting forking and collaboration.
We use Bitbucket for SWC since a year and a half, private and uninterrupted access, 2GiBs and counting, almost 1k of revisions, and nobody has payed a dime.

I can help you to convert it to Hg, or Git. As you prefer. SVN is not a DVCS, is centralized, and these guys don't support it.
It's a pity that all these years of changes and teamwork are going to waste.

Just finished the game as a Beorning. Definitely the weakest good faction, so I had to start recruiting elves early. But anyway here are some problems i've encountered:

Gandalf is a redhead.
You can only loot horses from Rhun parties. Harad and Khand parties never drop horses.
Weird item balance. For example mirkwood swordsman shield is much better than mithril shield given as a faction reward.
Sieges don't yield loot or prisoners.
Wargs have silly charge that makes them unstoppable. But my main complain - after the battle is over you sometimes have to spend another ten minutes just chasing the riderless wargs around. Can they just run off the map after some time?
Spiders are silly, but you've fixed that apparently in latest patch. Cheers.

Sieges don't yield loot or prisoners. - well, you burn them all. Duh.

Long time M&B player and forum lurker here.

I registered because i have problem downloading this mod.
All the time i get this message : The file you have selected (TLD_3.23.exe) is not available via any mirrors[...]
I of course registered on ModDB since i heard guest mirrors are down. Still i can not dowload mod for last 2 days refreshing like crazy in home and in work.

I would be very happy if somebody posted other download link to the newest mod version. I really want to play this mod - it looks awesome.

Sorry for my bad english and thank you in advance.

EDIT:
I managed to start download!
No need to help me now.
Thanks anyway.

No, i mean you can't rescue friendly prisoners. And you don't get "well done" dialog from sieging lord. Like if you didn't actually participate.

They do, if you have morale turned on.
I do. But they almost never leave once rider is dead.

Kudos for all the great work, of course!

Sieges didn't get any work (iirc) after GA gave up, which has been in a while. So they kind of work, but not ideally.
Wargs do retreat if their morale goes down. However, as any other troops, they will fight if they're in range of any pursuing enemies.

Fair enough. Here's another question. Dunedain MR is obviously tougher than Ithilien MR both in levels and skills. But Ithilien MR had a much higher upkeep in my army. Is it an oversight or is it some hidden mechanic at work? Do prices fluctuate with gaining ranks or something?

Also I'm a bit miffed about Uruk snagas in orcish roster. Isn't it an oxymoron?

IIRC cost is auto-calculated based on not exactly intuitive stuff, engine side - out of our hands. (level? Possibly)

Not sure what you mean about orcs.

Weaver said:
I mean that uruks are large orcs bred for war. And snagas - it's what uruks called smaller orcs in LotR. No?

Right. We use it to describe young orcs of all breeds.
