In fact Gondor is the most prominent state in ME. So you would expect its army to have some pretty standardized outfit (bar Isengard Uruk-Hai standardization)

The newcomer was still mainly referring to non-movie looking armour, I believe.
And I'm still worried if we shouldn't just scrap the mod altogether since we got things all wrong...

"Scrap"? nooo... your armors looks good to me. In movie we coudn't see all armors of Gondor vassals. Your vision is very good especialy Pelargir units looks  .

Just leave the armour as it is, i don't mind it not looking like the movie version and im sure others don't mind either.

No-no, historical authenticity is a serious stuff! I mean movie authenticity ofc, as it must be obvious now that LotR trilogy was a well-shot documentary about the events.
So we better spend another year redoing outfits, now that it came out that them are wrong

Just the fact that now, when all graphical, modelling, texture, sound work is done, there is a shortage of people coding stuff in, bughunting, balancing and overall putting things in order...In fact it's only one or two guys with enough dedication left for the finalisation work...
