Would it be possible to change the time in the scene while still in it?
Like having 24 minutes to equal a day, making it night after 12 minutes for example..
Apply dynamic fog, it simulates dusk and moonless night lighting pretty well, and can obscure sunlight if thick enough. You won't be able to change sun position though AFAIK.
you also can spawn different skybox-like meshes instead of game sky.
The sun position can be changed if you play around with the skyboxes.txt and place it in the data folder however there's not much that can be done beyond this. Another problem that I encountered whilst playing with the sun was that it only moves the specular part of the sun. You're still left with a texture of the sun physically on the skybox in the original place. Two suns is not good.
I desperately wish that TW would give us an easier control mechanism over weather and the sky.
