Thursday Linebattle Event hosted by Cop
General Info
This linebattle event will be hosted every Thursday at 8pm EST on Thundersnow_Events (Thanks, Thunder!). The battle will consist of three maps where the team with the best 2 of 3 will win the game. This is to create a quick gameplay with short rounds, that way regiments involved will get more playtime with shorter rounds. In other words, more bang for your buck.
Regiment leaders will apply via the application below and once accepted, will be invited to a steam group to make it easier to communicate. A steam announcement will go out at 7:40pm EST informing leaders to join the administration teamspeak (208.115.245.98:9989). At 7:50pm EST the server info will be handed out to the regiment leaders present. After that time, no other regiments will be allowed into the event that night.
Please note:
1) If you have a problem during the event that needs my attention, contact me via steam and not in-game chat. It's hard to sift through the kill feeds to find every problem and it's easier to communicate this way.
2) Just because you applied as a certain role, it doesn't mean you will play as it. It only helps the admins know where we stand role-wise and who is capable as playing certain classes. You still have to apply for the roles.
Rules (Violaters will be slain mercilessly)
- Do not rambo
- Do not flame or troll regiments or people attending
- When a unit has fallen to 3 or below, regardless of specialization, they must join a friendly line
- Admin's rulings are final
- Do not intentionally officer target
- Unit sizes do not include officer and flag carriers/musicians
- Sappers aren't to be used
Special Roles
Special roles work very simply. Once someone applies for a role, they have it unless they tell me otherwise. If the roles fill up, reserves are handed out. Reserves are basically back-up or 'another option' if the regiment that holds that spot cannot fulfill it.
Line Infantry (6 min/30 max)
- No firing out of line (including firing out of formation and on the charge)
- Before firing, the unit must be stationary and in a complete formation
- Unless behind sapper-constructed cover, you may not crouch (unless in double rank)
- No more then half-man spacing
Skirmishers (5 min/12 max)
- May fire on the charge/retreat
- May use loose formations with no more then 3-5 man spacing
- Must stay together
- May crouch
- May use natural cover, but only in the immediate vicinity of the formation
Cavalry (8 min/12 max)
- Must move in a closed formation
- Dragoons must dismount and form up before firing
- You may not "leap-frog" charge (meaning the whole cav unit must charge one enemy unit, not spread out to different enemy units in the area)
Artillery (4 min/6 max)
- May only have two artillery pieces (1 howitzer and 1 cannon)
- No artillery guards allowed
- 4 minimum = 2 trains, 2 rankers
- 6 maximum = 2 trains, 3 rankers, 1 officer
(These rules are subject to change.)

A HUGE thanks to Thundersnow and the 00th for allowing the use of their server. Without them, this couldn't be made possible.
