Three bugs and a stupidity

1st bug: I took a ransom girl quest from Senderfall. I killed the bandits and rescued the girl. Yet I wasn't in a hurry, so I let the girl hang out with us. When I turned her back to Senderfall  she was level 5 and she didn't leave! Now I have a kidnapped chick in my party that I can't get rid of. Pretty annoying! I know I am good-looking and everything, but come on!
2nd bug: I was granted the fief of Mardan upon joining D'Shar. I asked my village elder if I could do something and he asked for 9 cattles. So I went to the nearest town to buy them. Yet before that, I completed a quest for my neigbors; I trained them. Then I bought the cattle and led them back to my village and I was shocked to see that my village and its neigbour exchanged banners. I still own the village, but my banner is over some other guy's vilage, and his banner is over mine.
3rd bug: After being looted D'Shar villages turn to classic village form from tents.

2nd and 3rd ones are visible in this image.

About the stupidity: I took a newly conquered castle with 30 men and immediately put my lovely Noldor artifacts, my future Noldor weapons and a Qualis gem in the chest. Then I left for trade. I was so away form my castle that I couldn't return in time to save my castle thus my stuff. Then I thought of something.
Can the chest in Rane serve as a storage? I mean do my items disappear in time if I put them in?

I searched for my problems in the forum, yet couldn't find anything. I hope these wasn't discussed before.
Thanks in advance

The castle-chest (if I'm right) is shared by any castle you hold. Take another castle and you can access your stuff again. Rane's (and Valonbray's) chests can serve as storage but will reset when you buy a new treasure map.

They don't reset

If they did I had a biiiiig luck for that
qualis
show up on the Rane chest.

They do reset. When you get a new treasure map (a small chance when talking to those named travellers) the content of the chest is replaced.

Actually it should only add to the content of the chest.  That way you can buy multiple treasure maps before visiting the chest.  I just double checked and it is working in the upcoming 2.03 patch, so if you lost things you had stored in the Rane / Valonbray chest, something strange is going on, but should be fine after patching.

I can confirm that.  Therefore, if you lost a castle, you'll need to retake it to get the goods.

I remember them having different content but it may be my bad then, maybe I assumed by emptying them. In that case sorry Sir Sigfried!

I remember in native at one point this was different. Is this a PoP fix or did they do it somewhere on the way with native?

Honestly, this I don't play native anymore, so I don't remember.   I also never had much occasion to keep things stored until this mod, so I couldn't say if it is a shared chest in other mods.

Just making sure this is settled.

Chests are not shared.  If you lose a castle with items in the chest, you have to retake the castle.

The city chests do not reset. Any items added by the chest quest are simply added to what is already there.  So yes, the city chests can be used as storage if needed.  Careful, though, as if they are overstuffed, new stuff won't show up when you get the quest.

As to the yurt stuff for D'Shar villages, those are actually a work in progress.  We've got a dev that is working on completely redoing the D'Shar villages, including the actual battlemaps, with tents instead of stucco buildings.  But it's not done yet.

Hope this helps.

The Kidnapped Girl is a quest from native. Bugged. Same is the follow the Spy Quest. So you better keep complaining about that one somewhere else. I had epic fails with those two quests in native and IF I get them in PoP I usually refuse them. Too much trouble, too little benefit.

I actually enjoy the spy quest, but you have to go about it exactly right or it won't work.  And that's not the right way for a quest to go.

Yup.  I've never had the spy quest go wrong.  I take it every time.  It is a nice hit of exp and cash, especially in the early game.  But then, I always start with a char with a couple points in tracking.

Spotting is good for it too.  I like to run ahead (parallel but not too close to the spy of course) and see where the guys are waiting so I can cut them off if they run before I attack.

are you sure after they're full they won't get new stuff?
I think the stuff already inside the chest gets overridden.
I didn't go to the chest in Rane until about day 200. I had a lot of treasure maps since, and when I got there...

there was no qualis gem

So I just thought the items I got overridden it.

It can fit 99 items.  that is a lot of treasure maps for it to wipe out the contents.  But you may be right.  They can drop from 2-6 items or so each time, I think.  If we confirm this, it'll likely be relegated as a known issue: don't get more than ten treasure maps to the same city without checking the treasure.

The new stuff seems to go on top, for some reason, and so there may be an issue with moving existing stuff down since chests autocram everything to the first available slot.
