Thorigrim's map editor problem

Okay.. I use Thorigrim's map editor, Version 1.11 M&B (I know its for .906 but it should world with 1.11) anyways whenever i load a map the villages/castles/towns and whatever text show up but the icons are gone.. it only does this to some of them but atleast 3/4th of them are gone.. anyhelp?

I struggle with the map editor all the time. I can't "select" the villages to move them as if the icons for them don't even exist, so when working with a map I'll edit all the village icons to town icons in parties.py.

The editor is so buggy it's hard to say why your icons have disappeared entirely.

Use Thor's editor for editing landscape only. Move parties by hand, typing in coords in module_parties.py. Press Ctrl-Z (or Z, don't remember) in the editor to see coords of the particular spot

Are you using the map editor with Warband map_icon and parties files? The number of map icons was changed to add desert icons, so thorgrims map editor gets confused. You should use parties.txt and map_icons.txt files from M&B and then copy the changes to your Warband module file when done.

Yeah, I do all that. I think my inability to "grab" village icons is an anomaly of my own systems setup, vid interface, crappy computer, etc.
