This is a great game

I can really see this game becoming a full-fledged PC hit. It's already more fun than 80 percent of the finished games out there right now. I would personally love to see it evolve into a sprawling Morrowind type RPG with a multiplayer component.

Regardless, I've put down my $10 and I just wanted to come by and give my support. Thanks for the game.

Total agreement.

This is one of the first times that my fiancee has looked over my shoulder and been impressed by what I am playing. I think you got the combat down real well and am real happy you avoided adding magic and crap like that in (things that most medieval games seem to always have).

Well, not just 'like' Morrowind - better then Morrowind . Beating Morrowind (mods aside) is not a great feat, heh.
But I agree - Armadan managed to somehow create a game that captures you and don't let go.

I would also like to chime in. I downloaded this game yesterday, got to level six, and then decided to buy the game this morning. Unlike any of the other games out there, this game is just pure fun. I haven't been able to bring myself to buy a game in months and with just one day with mount and blade I had to have it. Keep up the good work!

Yup, I think this game has a huge amount of potential. I just dished out my 10$ to help out.

A storyline, and some quests would be a good step imo (I have read this is planned), since I like to have long term goals in a game.

I also agree. An amazing value for $10. I am really looking forward to seeing the game evolve and eventually playing a final version. This game has captured the fluid feel of combat and is the only game I have played or seen that has done justice to mounted combat. I also appreciate the lack of magic and the humanocentric focus of the game. I, for one, am not interested in another monster bash and am looking forward to seeing the world develop into something deeper and richer.

Thanks for a great game!

I think it's the best $10 I've ever spent.

Besides, it's great to know that you're a part of the development of a wonderful game like this.

the decision to pay the 10 bucks for this was probly the easiest i've ever made. I think i'd be having physical withdrawal symptoms if i didn't, heh.

Definitely a great game. I'm really happy I heard about it and jumped on the bandwagon. This thing is addictive!

I agree with the first poster. I would hope the world would end up being maybe 10x the size it is now though atleast .

and some sort of multiplayer would be sick. Imagine having a few friends in the same world with rival bands and such haha, very cool.

You know why this game is so good, and the exact opposite of Morrowind?

The core gameplay is simple and streamlined. Everything uses the same handfull of controls, and you never need to memorize reams of stats or lengthy quest logs. You just pick up and play. Despite this, the game-world is huge and there's a whole world of things to do.

Simple core gameplay, but very freeform style. That's how all the classics have done it. Pirates!, anyone?

Lol, it's not a great feat to overcome Morrowind, due to it's boring as hell combat, cheesy and linear story (it felt like dumbed-down WoT one), lack of dialogues and frustrating magic systems.
On the other hand, M&B it's not an RPG as it is. I'd say it's more akin to Diablo... no offence meant . At least, for now.... and I doubt that ever, unless Armagan will turn out to be a good writer, or hire one. (And, I'm sure, no one would say that Diablo wasn't good in it's own right).
After all, only 'real' Role-playing games I've ever played were Fallouts and Planescape: Torment. (With P:T being the absolute best). I mean, only games where you did PLAY a ROLE, with dialogs and actions, not just killing things or doing FedEx quests.
M&B is great fun, but should not be called a 'classic' CRPG, cause otherwise I'll have to crush it beneath my heavy boot of criticism, and I'd hate to do so .
Morrowind pretended to be, but failed miserably.

Balor, I suggest you look for a few other good RPGs.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura
- Excellent game, very open and free form, much like the Fallout games.

Baldur's Gate, BG: Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, BG2: Throne of Bhaal
- Great AD&D RPGs. Great story, amazing characters, lots of side quests and such, and a great implementation of the game rules.

And if you haven't, I suggest you try TES: Daggerfall. The game before Morrowind in the TES series. And by far my favorite of the three. It was a far better game than Morrowind (except for graphics, and those don't count for anything anyway).

agreed LB,

Daggerfall imo is the best rpg ever made, and one of my favorite games of all time. Nothing has come close to being its equal 10+ years later.

Played it, loved it, if it has rather weird animation and imbalances towards magic... if magic was indeed this powerful, technology would never be invented.
Baldur's Gate, BG: Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, BG2: Throne of Bhaal
Also liked them, if less then P:T... mostly because, like NWN, they emphasized on combat much more, and combat in AD&D SUCK kilometers of, hmm, you guess . I like AD&D lore, especially Planescape one (no wonder it was discontinued, though - too witty to appeal to mainstream crowd), but combat in AD&D should have stayed in P&P where it belongs, but never in CPRGs.

And I wish I'd try Daggerfall, but it's nigh impossible to find here, downloading it, with my bandwidth restrictions is nearly impossible too, same goes for ordering online, if that’s even possible...
Well, anyway, looks like Beth trying to mend their ways and making Oblivion more RPGish and alive. I think it may be actually worth playing, not just ripping to shreds for modding potential . I'll be making WoT TC with it, anyway. Already have a mod that turn MW's magick system into WoT channeling...
But I guess we are going way offtopic .

I have high hopes for ElderScrollsIV: Oblivion

They have overhauled the combat, AI, and fixed the 'FedEx' quests, amongst other things (or so they say)

...However untill that is realease a year or so from now M&B is going to have to tide me over.

Could I suggest the Gothic series for really good RP'ing possibilities. Similar in some ways to M&B!!

I'm realy impressed. All they need is to kind of finish the world. I like the combat a lot. Add in some more diversity in the enviroments and quests+storyline and I think this game would be a easy match for anything on the market now. Hmmm...Maby modding capabilities on this thing?

I personaly like morrowind, but not for the combat or the main quest. The fun was the world thats was cool to explore, and the fact that (with a little help from mods) you could be basicaly any character you came up with. And morrowind was definetly an RPG, probably the most imersive one ever. Mount and blade just happens to be more fun combat wise.
