hi,

just found out about m&b yesterday, got to the annoying lvl 6 cap, and now think about buying.

the most important questions for me, in regard of the future versions, will you be able to slaughter/enslave peasants, refugges etc?

will villages etc. be raidable? maybe add some small peasant villages.

i mean the combat is extremly enjoyable, but i have this raids in my mind, charging in to a peasant village at night, slaugthering, taking slaves, burning homes, the screams, oh the joy !

dont get me wrong, the game is great, but all it has now is that great combat system. i can see it getting boring for me, after a week of play or so, becoming godlike in the higher lvls.

great game, but maybe i'll wait for some further updates before buying.

Welcome to the forums, Rookie80!

That lvl 6 experience cap is frustrating ... especially when you consider that it is the exact range where you start enjoying the game and combat. Armagan (the developer) is a cruel (or brilliant) person.

Noone can tell you exactly what the future holds in store for M&B. I would love to be able to tell you details about what will and will not be implemented ... but thats not possible. Armagan adds his own ideas and thoughts and takes ideas from the suggestion area and throws them into the game as he can. He has been doing a great job about listening to his customers and what they want and trying to get those things in-game.

Other than the above, I'm not sure what to tell you. The game is great, the forums are pretty friendly and welcoming and Armagan and Ipek (his wife - the other half of M&B) are great people.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or PM me and if I'm able to answer them ... I will.

About killing peasants: We had an "attackable peasants" mod back in the previous version. Don't know if someone remade it.

Even if you got bored, so what?. A week of solid fun for 12$. I think its a good bargain. You can finish Call of Duty or Doom 3 in 2-3 days. And they are around 50$. Doom3 was very boring by the way

But for 12$, you are buying all the future versions and the final release. After you got bored, you may check the game after 2-3 months and you will definitaly want to play the final version. Because it will get a lot better for sure.

I think everyone gets bored of the game at one point or another. The great thing about the game, is a few days or a week later, you feel like playing again. I just keep coming back to the game.

All i can say is, IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH IT.

I payed five english pounds, about the cost of a cinema ticket, for my favourite game.

Well, i seriously doubt you'll get bored after just one week. I tend to get bored with games fairly easily. I played Doom 3 for about 20min and got bored, farcry for about 15min before uninstalling, Call of Duty 1 and 2 for about half an hour each...you get the idea. And even games that i love i get bored with, like civilization, starcraft, KOTOR, and Master of Orion 2...and i haven't played most of those in over a year. Yet i have been playing Mount and Blade for close to 6 months now and still play it a good 1-2 hours per week. Its one of those games that you'll always come back to, most likely quite frequently. You can sit down, play for 10 minutes, and actually contribute to your character and have fun...unlike some of my other favorites such as civilization, where you pretty much have to devote a day at a time to enjoy it  Ok, i'm done rambling. Buy the game!!! The demo is a very poor representation of the full version, as level 6 is when things really start to get interesting. Watching an army of 50+ knights tear through and trample a band of river pirates leaves you in awe.

true... it CAN get a bit boring after a while... but then the ALL POWERFULL ARMAGAN *thunder*, makes a little update and it sucks me RIGHT back in.....

btw, as someone already said, its DAMN CHEAP fun.

Also it is important to note that as it gets closer to the final version the Price of the game will go up....so if you get it now you get a great deal.

Did I mention it was a great deal?

yes, yes I did

P.S. I have no Idea what the final price will be

What they all said.

A few months back I had stopped playing because I had gotten bored,(OMFN SIN) but I wasen't checking the fourms very often and didn't see some of the mods that came around.

Finally I came back one day to look if there were any better mods from when I had left (I got bored of everything I had) looked throughthe mod sections and discovered the unofficial editor. I like adding new weapons and such, so that just about did me in for this month (I'm so freaking behind in school)
Then I started playing Mag7, the mod was out when I left but I didn't try it.
Stupid me, that thing owns >.>

It's worth the 12$ Hell it's worth more but it's only 12$

ANYWHO I have a mountain of schoolwork to conquer before my Mom tears me head off. >_>

(P.S. With the people we have modding, I wouldn't doubt someone would come up with a way to have attackable villages, but that doesn't mean they will, it could be completely and utterly impossible, but I have a hunch they'll find a way.)
