Issue: There are beautiful city and village scenes in the game, but no reason to go explore them.

Solution: Gangs ( and possibly the addition of criminal influence )
(I know gangs are going to be implemented at some point, but heres some thoughts on how they could be improved or expanded upon)

This idea revolves around "Criminal Influence" which would serve as the current faction influence, but for criminal deeds in cities. These ideas can easily be implemented without this "criminal influence" but I thought it would be a good basis for this system

Gaining Criminal Influence
-Joining a gang and doing "criminal" missions would increase your Criminal Influence
-Bribing guards would increase your Criminal Influence
-Lords would offer missions to kidnap people or sabotage something, gaining you Criminal Influence

Spending Criminal Influence
-Making your own gang; instead of doing missions for other gangs you can spend a lot of influence to start your own
-Recruitment; With criminal influence you could recruit thugs for your gang. Could have layers like Crime lord; needed 1 per merchant you are extorting. Regular thug for fights with other gangs. Fence for selling stolen goods.
-Extortion money; -With criminal influence you could extort the merchants, taverns and workshop owners for protection money ( a passive 50 gold a day for example )
-Sabotage; With criminal influence you could hurt the production of resources in a city, or make the taxes smaller for a small period ( hurting the lord owning the fief )
-Thefts; With criminal influence you could attempt heists targeting one of the merchants for horses, equipment etc. (Could add NPC: Fence, where stolen items are sold)
-Kidnapping; With criminal influence you could kidnap a lord, or their family members and sell them to a rival or enemy lord.

Maintaining Criminal Influence
-Every now and then the merchants and people you are extorting would grow bolder and refuse to pay you anymore, forcing you to show them a lesson (small fights with blunt weapons) AKA breaking some knee caps  - This would gain some criminal influence as you are re-asserting dominance in your territory
-Fighting tavern drunks would increase your influence since you are helping the tavern owner who is paying you protection money.

Gang Wars
-These would happen occasionally when other gangs want your currently held protection rackets; fights in the street. Winning and losing determines Criminal Influence gain or loss and losing the protection target ( for example you are extorting the tavern for protection money, and the other gang wants that from you )

Missions & Other
-The board games could be utilized in this, playing against enemy gangs and betting money on yourself
-Gang Fight clubs could be implemented, simply a tournament type- fight but in the city during night time. Fights would be against other gangs or even own gang members, winner gets influence or money or both.
-If the city comes under siege the besieger could offer your gang rewards for opening the gates, or perhaps if thats too difficult to implement, just sabotaging the food or killing some guards to gain an advantage.
-Possible introduction of brothel buildings, which would serve like the current investments of workshop, smithy etc.

Implementation: Missions like kidnap, thefts could involve a fight with some guards, then interaction with the person youre going to kidnap like "come with us" and then the scene ends. No need for miracles. Obviously these are revolting around this idea of Criminal Influence, but each part could easily be added just as a mission from a notable etc.

Now theres definetely plenty of other important stuff Taleworlds needs to work on before this suggestion, but hopefully it will inspire someone to maybe even add something to their mod.

Love it  Playing as a bandit is so much fun and these things would made it even more intriguing. I also hope you can build an hideout, dont have to be a fancy one but still would be handy when you´re on the run and want to reorganize
