Things the Aserai could use!

After playing an Aserai character I just wanted to add some input of some things they could use to polish and flesh this faction out.

1. Camel pack animals - I use to be able to get these in earlier versions but it has been a while since I've seen any in-game maybe at least four or five versions now or more. Camel pack animals goes good with the theme of the faction especially if you play a trader character and you want to run your own caravan.

2. Aserai noble hand and foot armor - currently there is no elite Aserai gloves or boots and all of the Lords of the faction use mostly imperial hand and foot armor. This faction needs some more unique armors especially in the hand and foot slots.

3. Spice treatable resource - This faction needs a unique tradable resource like spice for example that could be lucrative for them like the Sarranid Sultanate had in Warband.

4. Unique voice option for characters - When you create a character you have four voice options none of them sound like they would be somebody from the middle East. There should be a 5th option added that sounds Middle Eastern.

5. Clan name generator - This is something all factions should have. Feel like when I make a name up it fills out a place and I can't stand it. Format would be (Banu Asera) for example. literally I have yet to come up with good clan names that feel like they fit in the game so this is something that really needs to happen.

6. Faction landmarks - This is something that all factions could use but it'd be nice if the campaign map was flushed out a little more and you saw a few landmarks and ruins littering the campaign map. For example things like Stonehenge or pyramids. The mod Calraidia expanded does an excellent job cleaning up the campaign map it it's pretty spectacular. I would use it but I don't like all the added towns and castles at the Mott adds.

7. Unique crown - each faction leader should have a unique crown that they use and not share with the other Lords just them only.

That is just a short list but I think it would go a long way in fleshing out the blandness of the game.

Yes, but steppe people never used crown. Ruler is recognized by his face not his crown. Btw entire Vlandia is wearing crowns, making them look like individual rulers

All good suggestions.

The clan name generator is something I have wished for quite a few times.

There are already clan name examples available in the files, at the same place where the names are stored.

+ special slave recruits for the mamluk troop tree
What would actually distinguish these slave troops from what we already have? As far as I care, the Mameluke soldier is basically the baseline starting point. Otherwise, mamluks weren't exactly an expendable mob of fodder.

I don't really see the issue here. I'd rather have more unique Aserai gear else. At best, maybe curved splint boots if we're talking foot armour.

I was thinking they can not by recruited by way of village recruitment. The base unit can be bought of slave traders, or through hostile recruitment. this would give Aserai a distinct recruiting system.
I would make the mamluk tree small with higher quality troops and buff another branche to not make the Aserai to depended on the mamluk slave warrior tree.

There currently is no Aserai noble or elite hand and foot armor so I didn't agree. Maybe you don't play this faction so it is not an issue for you, but other factions have their own unique stuff and the Aserai are lacking in the armor department compared to the other cultures.

Okay, exactly what sort of things do you propose then? I find reinforced mail mittens and splint boots to be good enough stand ins for now.

And no, I play the Aserai heavily. And I'd much rather see things besides hand or foot armour.

A heritage perk that does more or the AI. I don't even know do they get a different gold payout from loot because of the perk? Either way something else should be added for a more useful effect for war.

Something like this which would match the Southern lord helmet with the lion on it for starters and some elite faction curved boots as well with the similar lion design on the shines.

I just use w/e culture I'm playing naming conventions to use when I make a new character. I have Banu Kosca, fen Koschae, Koscheiving, etc.
Aserai definitely could use some medium and heavy arm and leg armor, they have nothing natively for players that like to stay in their lands.
Lastly, despite having numerous villages in mountainous regions, have no iron ore available in their territory. That could use a fix.

I'd prefer to keep resources at least somewhat regionalized, to offer players some relatively easy to understand trade relationships that hold up even as conquest changes the face of the continent.

I can see the validity of that, but regionalization needs to be somewhat rational too. It makes sense for the Aserai to not have fur production areas, just like it makes sense for the Sturgians to not have date production areas.
Iron, however, is a very common item, mostly found in-game near mountains, which the Aserai lands have a ton of. There's no rational reason for them to not have a single iron ore production area.

Aren't you the clan name generator?

As in if you wanted to name your clan Banu Amazing, cant you just name your clan that?

@Reiksmarshal

When you're talking about the voices sound, what exactly you'd put the 4 types we have?

Maybe it's because of my hearing, but all of them sounds american english or uk english to me with different depths

I live in brazil, so we don't have that much contact with foreign people with differents accents, so that's why i'm asking, all them sound european or north american to me

As far as the voices go 2 sound like American, one sounds like English, and one sounds like a generic barbarian voice imo.
