Things that have not improved

Tabards still look weird, with the emblem going down the legs and being cut in half by the belt, instead of on the chest like one of the drawings when you load the game suggests it looks.

-Controversy, its ****. You get given the title of Marshall, you are responsible for doing ****ing EVERYTHING in the realm, and you get horrific controversy penalities if one little village gets raided. None of the lords answer your summons most of the time anyway, and you dont get any fiefs because your controversy sky rockets. No marshall in my kingdom ends his term with less than 100 controversy. If you decline the marshall title, you get a **** load of controversy. What.
-Bots still swing through each other, they still try and bear hug and swarm you when fighting.
-Fiefs still absolutely refuse to become wealthy. I guarded the market farmers, I did every quest, I gave them over a 100 cows in something like two months. Trained them god knows how many ****ing times, AND THEY WERE STILL POOR AS DIRT.

Still fun though.

I'd like it if places didn't change prosperity almost every day. It should take longer than 24 hours for a village to go from poor to rich, unless all these villager parties are hauling sacks of gold dust. If they are, I'm going to start killing them.

I don't really mind that, except for the fact that it spams my screen with textwalls of completely useless information.

Game: "Ehlerdah has changed prosperity to poor"
Me: "I don't give a ****! It's not my village, I don't even know where it is, and its name sounds like the sound some people like to make just before they spit as they draw all the snot into their mouth."

Yep horse archery has gone into winds.
I was good with bow in original game as well but now  need to use crossbow because bow is useless. Also polearms act strange while on horse.
In arena AI has daggers and bows but player got only bow
Shadows are so dark that u cannot possibly see enemy even in broad daylight (very frustrating in sieges where u have a ranged weapon and cannot see enemy)

Still there are some things which are better like new combat system (not necessarily better but more challenging for sure) wedding system and beginning quest of merchant.

And why the hell this forum is half the time unreachable or busy???
Edit:
Creating this post took me 5 or 6 this things -
" Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later."

The forum is unreachable because of the immense traffic on the forum created by the new people coming here to argue. Atleast i belive it is that.
Nights are supposed to be dark, but if you don't like it turn off HDR during nights and reenable it during the days.
Players do get daggers, atleast i've had them.
Polearms don't act strange, or coul you define what you mean by strange?
Also, why can't you use bows? Inaccuracy? Shield force field?

Actually, I'm happy to report that in the newest version the player does get a dagger as well. Personally I was hoping for a sword, something it's possible to block with, but hey, it's progress!

It's both, actually. It's not really inaccuracy, it's as if the arrows are not flying from your bow but from somewhere above and to the left of the character. It feels really odd, and combined with the force field it has the paradoxical effect that it's easier for me to hit enemies who are far away and blocking than those who are close and not blocking.

I've noticed that too. It's as if the arrow flies not from your bow but from somewhere above and to the left of your character, isn't it? It's very frustrating.
The horse now imparts momentum on the arrow in the direction of travel, depending on the speed of the horse. Takes a little getting used to.

You sure about that? I've tested that and I can't seem to get any kind of measurable result that would suggest that. Plus I have trouble shooting even while standing still.

Breathe in, let out half your breath and loose...  Or am I confusing that with something else?

Which brings me to one thing I find humourous... In the game when you meet up with a 'belligerent drunk' and you go to fight him, if you switch to your bow the tavernkeeper says 'No Shooting!'. Shooting? I didn't think that made it into the vocabulary until after firearms? But thats just a minor little thing I noticed.

These are the things I mostly wanted to be changed, but they weren't:

1) Better character models overall. This includes faces and bodies (and their respective textures... skin still looks like plastic)

2) New siege mechanics or at least 2 ladders in every castle/town scene.

3) Auto-resolve and campaign battles are still ****ed

4) Battle AI being improved (khergits still charge like morons even though they should run around the enemy avoiding it.

5) Formations and a GODDAMN PRE-BATTLE SCREEN WHERE I CAN TELL MY MEN WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE BATTLE.

The last one especially.

I agree with 99.9% of suggestions in this thread. If all of these suggestions came to fruition, then Warband would truly be an expansion.

Yup, we even had it toned down during the beta to make it no longer possible to shoot around corners. If you're moving on the horse it takes around 25% or so of the horses momentum in the direction the horse is travelling.

Not sure why it would affect you while standing still though. I've not noticed any real difference in the shooting, although I haven't tried using a bow from first person perspective yet.

Quite a long time before firearms actually, see slingshot.

Pretty much that.

Even better, if we could assign default action, stance, formation, whatever to our groups in the party screen, now that we can make them. You know, Infantry "hold ground stay close x2", Archers "hold position spread out x1 + stop picking your noses", Cavalry "charge and, for the love of god, stay mounted."

Adding to the problem of not having side arms in tournaments, how about giving better weapons to those sneaking into towns? It is no fun trying to fight off 4 or 5 angry, shield-wielding, chain-armored, axe-throwing Nords when you have a broomstick and a bunch of useless throwing knives (before I get a lecture on throwing weapons see the "shield-wielding" part again). When playing full damage, good AI, manual block, etc. the fight gets really tough; I wish we got at least a short sword; I don't think it's harder to conceal than a dozen knives. Also, imprisoned lords get their full gear when breaking out of prison, logically they should start with loin-cloth and a knife made out of toothpicks.

Warband need to be fixed.

-there ton of bug and glitch
-there a Memory Leak

i LOVE the game for what it is.

they added so many thing.......... but they need to make it work!

Ah, sneak into town cunningly disguised as a bloodthirsty, plate armoured warrior you mean?

Really? I did not know that. Colour me corrected then.

Of course!   Although he has a point. I am finding those battle extremely hard as well.

Well, if you think about it, why in the name of god, would you let a hobo into your castle/town who can't make a single step without jingling with a bunch of throwing daggers. Then, not only would you let him to go in, but also wander about, kill your guards, win tournaments, celebrate at local taverns, break out prisoners, buy embarassingly large amounts of goods, lavishly spend money at local shops, and then leave through the very same castle-gates at will. I think the bloodthirty warrior type can actually look almost like a normal person compared to that grossly rich tournament-champion vagabond. Besides, how the hell do Hired Blades get in? After all, we all look the same with buckets of steel over our faces.

They're not daggers, it's his coin purse.

He comes from nowhere, bests the highest lords of your faction in a tournament and kills most of the guards who try to stop him. Now ask yourself as a gate guard who probably earns less than a denar a day, would you try to stop him leaving, or would you suddenly have urgent business elsewhere when you see him heading for your gate?
Besides, how the hell do Hired Blades get in? After all, we all look the same with buckets of steel over our faces.
Difference is, when they tell them to remove their helm they don't look like a wanted man.

You must have been thinking of the term 'fire' for when guns became widely used. Love those books/movies in which archers are order to 'fire!'
