there is nothing to do except war

Well, the worst part here is that they are supposed to be on ea for 1 year. callum said that they can extend 1 year duration, but...

In the case they do... they will do for more than few months?

The thing is that barely any real content was added in 7 months, and some things that we know we will get, like rebelions, have been worked on for a lot of time, what make us think we wont have any complicated feature, or maybe 1-2 more.

And the only new features such as smithing, death, childs... etc are not even functional yet, needs a lot of work.

So everything point to this game being another mod template, as OP stated. That is why we are worried in general.
What bothers me so much about that is, rebellions exist in mods, SUPER well done and really good implemented for months now.
And i just don't get it into my head how one person can make something completely new from scratch so much faster than TW does anything.

All they did was turn on rebellions which were already implemented in the code but turned off. Clearly TW have more in mind for rebellions than what was in the code already. Its the same as banners, modders just turned the things on. TW has made decisions to not release features until they feel like they are complete, I don't necessarily agree with this approach but I can understand it.

Ha thats pretty funny -modders getting all this credit yet are merely turning on unfinished base code. Heard there were audio files already implemented for dialogue -has anyone tried turning these on?

Afaik the mod i am talking about (Revolutions) was made from scratch.

I kinda fear the results to be honest, who knows what reason they're not in-game for

I tried they just don't work yet it seems

The civil wars feature is definitely all his and no doubt he improved on the rebellions piece (as im sure it was not fully functional). My comment is not to take away from his mod, I liked it a lot and hope similar features are implemented in native.

A bit of the rebellion feature was just improved or left as it was I'd say 25% of the rebellions are just that I liked the mod but the rebellions caused a lot of crashes for me

No no don't get me wrong i didn't wanna say that your comment was wrong or anything, i have almost no idea how to make mods myself. But even if the mods are nothing more than a switch to turn functions on that are there from TW, then i still don't get why it takes them 7+ months to finish them.
They are like that one kid from jimmy neutron who stops doing everything at 90%

I guess they had them there just to prepare for the time they will actually finish implementing them. Maybe they'll come with more stuff than what's just in the code. And maybe hope they'll do something as good as the mod or maybe better(again, HOPE)

Because game design is often a house of cards with some elements being more likely to pull down the entire house causing huge rewrites/refactors etc than others. The modder may not see nor care of unintended consequences as he is liable for absolutely nothing -where as in you (Dev responsible for Kingdom Politics) activate a feature that just blew up the 'Dialogues' division of the game as an example, giving that guy 4-6 new weeks of new unintended work you just made a workplace enemy for life.

Its time for you peeps to step up your creativity a notch...But yes since its a war game i would expect war in it xD M&B is not an RdR game as RdR is not an M&B game...Which i would like to see in the RdR2 online mode but nah i have to dream on on that one
whene you create a cool world must put something to do in it if not you can play custom war from menu

+1 to OP and boy am I also getting frustrated with the 0 progress. like 80 ppl work on this game supposedly, WHAT ARE THEY DOING? The easiest way to see taleworlds have no clue what they are doing is by looking at the mods made by people in their spare time, which surpass all the garbage updates we have gotten so far. a SINGLE modder in his spare time made cooler vlandian armors and helmets ( numerous) in a MONTH compared to this TEAM making like 5 equipment pieces in 7 months.(yeah i know not all are making armors) Even WARBAND features are missing, WTF? I am sad to see this

I know the devs are spread throughout the entire game so they can't focus on a single thing like modders do but i'll have to agree on the warband part, i hoped that atleast the game would have all the base features of warband and would expand/improve on them and add some nice new goodies, they already had all the code for those it was just a matter of refactoring it to their new engine and making upgrades no?

the game has improved alot in many areas but it really needs roleplaying elements to keep the players entertained, more things to do in peace time etc, were are the books? neutral parties like manhunters? deserters? the courting mini-game that could've been improved? more powerful bandits to hunt during peace time or other things like ruling over your fiefs instead of just milking them?

Silverstag mod for warband had a nice feature were once you had a fief one of your councilors could send for you from time to time with a urgent matter back home and there would be a few decisions or quests to do based on the state of your fief, it was simple but already gave the sensation of really ruling your fief for once just as an example.

Exactly. In the end the only solution is the modding community, and I truly do hope they make this game into what it should have been.

And Im on your side with improvments, but to many of you guys are just like "I want it now" and in a tone that it gets annoying. .
If I remember correctly me and @Revverie were two of the few who had a positive outlook on the forums throughout the beta and the start of EA. So how you can say he's acting like a "I want it now" guy is completely beyond me. No **** he's going to get fed up after 8 months of slow and disappointing updates, I feel the exact same.

Unless you've only been active on the forum for like a month I do not see how you can feel positive about it, it's an absolute **** show over here really.

I had no problem with him until he has gotten personal out of the blue. I had only one discussion in an other thread with him, so I don't really know this guy, and his outlooks. Personal I see the discussion with him finished. #Offtopicend
