there is nothing to do except war

I'd like this very much, having the buildings appear in the scene, with increased npc activity. And also for more effects than simple passives of plus this or minus that, kinda like we had in PoP with the building that created patrols.

Maybe even budget allocation, and more options appearing as more stuff is built.

This is quite broad, I wouldn't like another meaningless option just for there to be more text, eventually we would just skip over it (Warband companion dialog for example, I read it the first time and that was it).

I would like for the world to treat the player more harshly, you almost always upset their "way of life", you don't start as a sworn vassal who inherited his title, even if you were a noble, nobody knows you, you have no lands, no titles. As far as they know, you are part of the rabble.

Sure you could become rich by being a trader or a mercenary captain, but that still wouldn't make you part of the nobles, an issue relatable to our real world.

Becoming a king? Heresy! In this feudal caste system, there should be pretty much no upwards mobility, the player is pretty much the exception (some lords would be vocal if you turned companions into nobles in Warband).

Not that I am advocating for there to be no mobility in game, I would like for us, the players, to be met with increasing resistance as we move upwards.

They are slowly delivering on this, pretty much every patch has a new quest and/or changes to others.

Agreed, I don't really see relations affecting the gameplay too much. I would love for a system with greater impact on actions, like a cumulative score that would trigger more decisions when each npc plans their next actions, like deciding to pillage enemies villages first instead of the closest ones, or plots to reduce an enemy clan's influence and damage relations with other clans and so on.

Eventually people will no longer want to use the scenes and just go for menu options, it is way quicker and saves time, even in games that don't give you the menu option, you will only look around for the first or couple of first visits, like in RDR2, sure I explored a bit looking for encounters the first time, then after that, straight to shops or missions.

More and more options on the barter screen for clan to clan actions, like setting up marriages between members, non aggression, buying/trading troops.

And also an option to negotiate kingdom wide treaties, like non aggression, join war, defensive alliance, mediate truce between other kingdoms.

Yep, sadly true. Lategame is all about wars and conquering the whole map which I personally dislike.
Agreed, it can be a goal once, but who the **** wants to conquer the world map in every playthrough, it's just a terrible focus for a sandbox.

So something I am excited about which should help bring some more life to the game is actually implementing some sort of politics into the game. Right now there is no convincing lords to change their opinion, apparently they are working on a system to implement this kind of gameplay.

There is already a design in the works related to this but it's early to talk about it(and not my place to talk about it since I'm not the one in charge of those changes). Our design team recognize this aspect of the decision making mechanic and working on a new design.

They understand that players feel powerless in situations where even though they have the influence/power to change decision outcomes, they have no way of doing it while the decision making is taking place. This can include swaying voters that are supporting other outcomes, or even lords who are "undecided". And since the player can do this, AI lords can also sway other lords too, depending on their influence in the kingdom.

This is my take on it and might change in the future but know that we're planning on changing some aspects of the decision making in kingdoms.

What you want, is always different from what you get. There is no 100%. That´s Life.

Well, community is not even asking for a 100%, just a 25 or 50% would be much better than nothing.

Yes, they take some feedbacks, but not even close to what they should take.

25% of what exactly ?

I mean 25% of features that community is asking for.
They have been implemented more then 25% that has been asked for...but it depends on whats been asked for within reasons ofc...
But if this is about things they are working on well they just have to wait. If its about grandiose ideas of Star Citizen proportions i guess they have to chip in more money and time

These mfs are really trying to justify a game lacking features with boomer phrases

Oh this post critiques a concern that a lot of people in the community cares about, I'm going to tell them they're wrong or repeat they should wait until the game is complete, yeah, that is going to be a very valid argument to copy paste in every single thread

Its time for you to start your own company and produce a game so we can follow you at the forums xD

Lets look at real life to see how to make tales of medieval conquest interesting:

Battles: First and foremost why is the battle happening -is it the pure power lust by the ruling King or the sentiment of the people as well? Do the other Lords and Merchants approve of national aggression or seek a different Leader who is better for them? Is race/religion tied into this? When is the best time to attack and why based off of seasons and terrain? What is the food and war chest situation? What are the Defenders strengths and weaknesses? Do they have the advantage in the terrain they are in or do they lure the attacker to more favorable ground for their type of army?

How much of the above is calculated on any level for Bannerlord? Not much at all if you ask me and much if this would not be that difficult to implement had the creators sought to from the ground up. Now imagine giving the player he ability to shake up some of the above stipulations -edging a Lord towards war or towards betrayal or stirring up tribal/religious stuff with tied in quests instead of "Go grab me 5 Heads of Cattle" style tripe. theyve stayed with that same lame formula for way too long.

Now you have an emergent different styled playthru every time you load it up -without the need for bucketloads of mundane plot storyline that get old anyways.

Man you really like making pointless argument that go nowhere and deviate the thread, I'm not even going to answer to that, the OP is saying that the game should have more life and more things to do other than just fighting, and you come with all this crap, and imagine the queen send you letters and I don't know what else you imagine in your playthroughs, it's ok you like this game, we all know the game is going to improve, but right now the reality is that the game gets stale and the late game is boring, a lot of people thinks like this, please stop giving that crappy argument just because you're bored out of your mind and you need to post without thinking.

@Revverie Do you know more than me? Is the Game already out of EA? Has the list of known Issues disappeard? Please enlighten me.

Just that you know, I cant remember a game which has ALL the features what i wanted, do you? Because if there were such a game..., i would not be in this forum XD

We are not asking this game to be exactly what we have in mind, most of us criticize what we have and suggest things that we want, nobody expect this to be LITERALLY RDR2 we just want mechanics that make this game not so stale and a little bit more immersive, and that would improve the gameplay for most of us. We want this game to improve, if you guys like what you have fine, but we can't say ohh this is life this is what it is, what is even the purpose of that, it has nothing to do with this thread lmao

And Im on your side with improvments, but to many of you guys are just like "I want it now" and in a tone that it gets annoying. What I wrote is just what I expect of the game, it will not have all the features that i want, but im ok with it. And your answer was again rude if i read that "mfs" right.

Yeah I don't care anymore about this, someone else handle these people I have literally no patience. I quit these forums, I'm just going to wait two years until mods come in. See ya. You made it guys, I quit this ****

Its been 7 months now, no one here expects all of the stuff we ask or hope for. But 7 months without any real improvements besides optimization is pretty sad and frustrating to see.
No new content at all

Just do like a lot of other people on here lately did, put Shinobi and his friends on ignore. The Forum becomes way more relaxing all of a sudden.

Well, the worst part here is that they are supposed to be on ea for 1 year. callum said that they can extend 1 year duration, but...

In the case they do... they will do for more than few months?

The thing is that barely any real content was added in 7 months, and some things that we know we will get, like rebelions, have been worked on for a lot of time, what make us think we wont have any complicated feature, or maybe 1-2 more.

And the only new features such as smithing, death, childs... etc are not even functional yet, needs a lot of work.

So everything point to this game being another mod template, as OP stated. That is why we are worried in general.
