I just paid 150k for peace and about 8 seconds later they declared war again, this one has to get fixed fast it seems pretty obvious. And until this gets fixed, I'm kind of discouraged from playing much more. Although I did already get my money's worth at 100hrs.


I don't know about you guys but I feel like 10 days minimum for cooldown would be best. Ideally the diplomacy should be advanced enough for different kinds of treaties, but it seems incredibly basic and I do not know how hard it would be to build a more complicated diplomacy system on this bare-bones skeleton that there is now. That might not happen for a while, if ever. But a war cooldown should be a simple thing to implement.
 
I have yet to reach own Kingdom phase. I was expecting a Non Agression Pact after wars.
 
Think the "War Attrition" mod allows you to add a cooldown the any faction declaring War if you configure it. Not sure myself, haven't tested it.

But yea, Diplomacy needs lots of love. Currently there's no reason to ever even appease anyone as no matter what they can just quit your Kingdom randomly.

There's also a mod that allows you to broker peace/war from any Fief you own instead of having to track down a Lord to talk to.

Yea sadly you either mod it, stop playing it or accept that it has problems.

Personally I just mod it. The discussion page on most mods is usually pretty active and can solve any problems you have fairly quickly.
 
These are things not implemented yet, but I imagine they will be. How could they not have more diplomacy features in the future? They clearly haven't finished the whole diplomacy aspect of the game yet
