There Can Be Only 0/1!

Recruit
So my nation is at war with another, and we had a large group of several armies from each side closing in on a castle for a siege.

Three of our armies caught one of theirs on the way, and we completely destroyed all regular units in that army. The count that was leading it escaped, and on the map he showed as a single unit. Hovering over him showed his stack as 0/1. (I am assuming this means that he's the only unit present, but that he's too wounded to fight.)

So, I took my full stack of units and attacked him hoping that I could take him prisoner. Because it was a single wounded unit, I told my men to attack without me. He killed them all.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that this could potentially be a bug.

The real jackpot is when the army of 0/X has prisoners.  That always made my day in M&B.  Free troops!

haha did you try fight him your self?

I didn't get a chance to. He wiped out my whole army and I was "captured" without getting a chance to fight. Of course, I just loaded my last save. I try to avoid doing that, but there are so many gamebreaking bugs that I find myself having to do it a lot.

Well maybe it's the rout system. The soldiers stay on infinitely and so they get 'injured' as a result of them being routed considering that they can't actually fight anyone. Just a theory.

This might be obvious to everyone but me, but what happens if you just attack normally? Skip straight to the victory screen?

Well, if you attack anyway, there will several debug red lines up to the message giving you victory on the battlefield.
Then, pressing tab gives the normal screen but without any casuality.
