Already posted the original, slow-****. I always found the other version you posted to be boring and characterless. What is a JENOVA theme without that weird, otherworldly doodle over the top? Coming to think about it, though, as good as these songs are, they don't fit well with M&B.

As for the rest of them on the album (Voices of the Lifestream) I'm not sure any would be suitable. But, it's all online and free, so you can have a look at them if you feel like it.

Anyway Sheriff what other weapons are the Shinra soldiers getting other than the rifles?

If you mean ShinRa as in the unit type (and not the faction).
The standard footsoldiers are getting batons and rifles obviously. I could take a look at the star wars mod's grenades too, if they have improved it.
I also made a sniper and rider class, both with obvious weaponry. (Imho)
 
The Pagoda warriors in Wutai are, Gorki, Shake, Checkov, Staniv, and Godo

You may want to be careful if you want to include rifles for Shin-ra.

In the past there have been problems with the bullets moving so fast that the game would glitch and not score a hit.

Don't forget about some of the FF7 fore-runners like Zach, Ghast, and Ho-Jo, Ifalna, Dio, Dyne, Vincent (who would have been part of the turks at the time of this war) and Lucretia,  as well as others
 
Well, i can't see Ifalna (or Lucrecia for that matter) leading a war party. :lol: But I'll make her Gast's wife. Thanks for some of the Wutai names, got the rest though.

As for Wutai's banner, i was thinking this
dokuritsu.jpg
vertically and some sort of design to it of course.
It means independence, which was Wutai's reason to fight ShinRa.

Because of the mod size, i will probably do patches rather than full uploads in the future.

Update:
I have patched some the listed bugs (haven't figured out how to specify the travel option to a specific town yet) and currently rewriting the character creation.
Will upload a patch soon.

I will finish the map first of all (first impression), making more map icons like the golden saucer and fort condor. But i still need someone to texture them, or i'll need to learn to do it.
Which will probably either either take some time or demoralize me.

(Why so silent? Major disappointment?)

As for masamune and the buster sword, i think they should have pretty high requirements. Masamune requiring ~15 agility, while buster sword requires ~15 strength

A mistake was made with the last patch and things were missed. I will reupload a fixed patch.

I'm working on making the mod work and finish the map first. Then i will start doing the new equipment, scenes etc.
(The release is purely for testing purposes and people who can relate to the source, it's really not a mod yet)
 
No point to saying you're not downloading, just guna clutter up the thread, it's not like he's saying it's uber awesome and you have to DL it right now, this just an alpha for people to screw with his functions.

To the OP, do you model, UV-map and texture yourself? You seem to do everything else yourself so that's why I'm curious.

Edit : Also to those asking to help, the whole point of this is; him working on his skills to A) show his potential and B) get into working shape for his Internment/New job, having help would kindof defeat the point, am I right?

I am modeling myself, i am still working on making UV-mapping and texturing work. I tried making the textures directly in 3ds max, but was unable to save it as an independent file.
I know how to make a UV map, but i'm still working on learning to use it properly.

Oh, but i do want help to make the mod, but i want to learn and get better myself while doing it.

Well I can do two things to help, first I can give you a program that I love, that does the UV-Mapping automatically albeit some of the time you need to edit the result a bit for it to be useful, and second I can do a few simple texture jobs for you.

However, I can't do too much for you other than that, because I'm also working on two other projects, and occasionally lack the motivation to work on them.

If you want the program, or you have something for me to texture, just send me a PM.
