Well, most of this is your own info from your own gameplay so, everything you say doesn't probably help everyone but it's still nice to see how you do in the game, and ofcourse the images are just wonderfull if you could post some more .

Greetings.

He just entered a new topic for dicussion. This board ( warlord' den) is not just for questions - it's for questions and discussion. Cheers.

Thane_of_Dhirim is correct, I started the thread for fun.  What might be helpful during courtship is knowing the temperament of the maiden so that you can recite the appropriate poem.  After a lot of trial and error this is what I noticed:

Ambitious Maidens: "All the Silks......" (Best)

Adventurous Maidens: "A Light Pierced......." (Best)

Romantic Maidens: "You are the First and the Last..." (Best)

Devoted Maidens: "The Wind that Blows..." (Best)

Hard to Please Maidens (High Morals): "I Deflected her..." (Best)

So, for your first visit combine the visit points (I think it's usually 1 or 2 points), the correct poem and a tournament win dedication for a nice start to the courtship.  Again, this is just my observation but from my own gameplay the maiden is ready for marriage by the first visit.  Of course I had already scored points with her before I even talking to her by first rescuing her father and or brother from prison.

Anyway, here's my bride (Lady Tibal) on our wedding day:

Got hitched last night in it, Missus was only level 2, so made her an Archer, Have her up to level 8 now, She's doing well with the old bow and arrow, This was a good idea starting this thread, I always just left the wife at the castle but enjoying having her on the battlefield....

Another wee tip, it's always best to ask her Father first, instead of just running to the ladies of your choice getting your reputation up by doing a few jobs for her relatives as well will boost your chances.

Congrats on getting hitched!  Since you have the little lady set up as an archer I suggest putting her in her group and surrounding her with bodyguards and keeping her away from melee.  I've got mine set up as a super horse archer/sniper with her retinue of sword sisters and it makes it easier to give her group a "Hold this position" command to keep them out of harm's way.  I'm guessing that she behaves like a hero companion who can only get knocked unconscious and not get killed but I'd rather play it safe.  I have multiple save games with different "intended" maidens and one of them is Matheld who should make for a fierce melee fighter.  She also looks HOT in my honest opinion! Finally, there is one nice bonus to having your wife as a battle companion, it costs you nothing in wages regardless of her level (nice having an immortal companion who costs you nothing and is always loyal...and can go out and buy bread! ).
BTW, the asking the father for permission first doesn't work with "Romantic" maidens, at least from my own experience.  What works for me is to be brazen and approach her first without permission.  Then wait until a few days before you ask her father or brother for permission to see her.  I think it's because these maidens are rebellious in nature and therefore "trouble for their families".
EDIT: Oh and here's a funny bit...I'm playing as a ruler of my own faction and I have my mother in law as my minister.  So far she has given me the good and sound political advice as my wife would have.

More snapshots:
I threw a magnificent feast at our new digs in Sargoth.  Apparently, Lady Tibal wears her armor to formal events
My mother in law (Minister) is on the left.

My blushing bride in action during the tournament.  She's surprisingly good with a double handed weapon (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more) as she invariably makes it to the final round.  I thought about letting her win but I decided to try and dedicate the win to her to see if it works.  She did smack me hard a few times though, OUCH!!!!!!

With diplomacy, I think you can actually dedicate a tournament win to your wife to increase your relationship (also counts as a visit in Courtship Report) and you get +1 point although I think there is a bug.....  UNRECOGNIZED TOKEN......huh, what?!?!?

At least, she's already calling you, "My love."  Be thankful for that.
That's because she has a "Honey do" list that's a mile long:
1) Take out trash
2) Walk the dog
3) Conquer the Vaegirs (she's ambitious, remember?)
4) Remodel the castle... I guess ole' King Ragnar had crappy taste in interior decoration

She looks cute even when she's unconscious:

Oh and with the Diplomacy Mod, you CAN marry your companions.  Just for fun, I promoted Matheld to a Lady by giving her a fief and then proposed to her.  I think I'm in love with her.  Here's a funny wedding picture:

I hadn't gotten around to upgrading the garrison so it consisted of a single looter...well, since neither myself nor Lady Matheld had any relatives guess who gave away the bride!! It's so WRONG that it's funny. I'll try to set everything up so that it's a little more dignified.

Okay, now that's pretty damn funny.
