Is it me or the right swing is so wide that sometimes when i release and there's someone behind me it softs/gets blocked by the guy ??
I agree with most of this but i don't know how they could change it withouth making melee fights even more boring.

Ye, especially if they're blocking with shield it can catch on that block. I've also chambered team-mates behind me. Makes groupfights quite messy especially considering how close to each other people can get.

This wasn't really meant to be a critique thread, more just a joke, but if I was to make suggestions I'd start by shortening the arc of swings, increasing the capsule around players, and adding a slight turncap.

Ye i get that, sadly i find quite a bit of truth in it.
Like the fact that you can reliably do a pirouette and right hit with god speed in fights is dumb imo.

Bruh we had both of those before:
-Turncap made fighting 1vx just impossible, it's hard now with kicks but still possible, once the turncap was removed it was just much better. I would rather it stayed this way, and IIRC a lot of people thought the same.
-The collision capsule also used to be larger(I think kicks were also not as good back then) but it was shortened because of the length of 1handeds getting ridiculous looking. That was solely TW's decision I think.

I know you aren't advocating for drastic changes to those but I think simply tuning the swing arcs to be more precise and believable would prevent the need to change anything else.

IIRC 1vX was impossible during this time because they buffed spears and shieldbash at the same time, so you could be spammed to death by stabs and shieldbashed back if you pushed anyone. I think the capsule change came into this because of how easily the spears hit the new hitbox, but that sounds like a reason to rejig spears, not make everyone anorexic.

I don't really accept we need slidey combat where people push past each other with parts of them passing directly through another or that people need full 360 movement, most people aren't abusing the turncap in 1vX anyway, it's just used as a way to mitigate pressure in a 1v1 because you can't be punished by spam for bad positioning.

I agree with the notion that the right swing is pretty much superior to the left swing in all except chance of back-glancing. In Warband you had more choices to choose a left or right swing, if you needed speed you'd go for the left swing, if you needed reach you would go for a right swing. In BL it is just so easy to hit early in your right swing that you have more freedom determining the moment it connects, compared to a left swing.
