Oh, and the food.... yeah it sucks. I like spicy food and was at a loss for a while until I discovered Indian food. Some of it is really good.

I haven't actually seen any ants. Or spiders, or in fact any insects whatsoever. Even less pigeons than normal too. Weirdly, about the only wildlife we seem to get is the pissed tramp, who is often amusing to watch. Particularly when the tourist groups are around.

When I'm visiting family in Glasgow, I tend to smile and nod when drunk people talk to me, same goes for family members themselves, can't understand a bloody thing.

As to not having good food in Britain, what about all our national dishes? Steak and Kidney pudding? Haggis?! Fray Bentos Pies?!!?

I tried some Yorkshire pudding once I was in... Yorkshire and it tasted like, well, nothing really. Just as tasteless as the meat served with it. But it was ok compared to some of the other stuff I got to eat there. Don't know about cottage pie, though.

Sunday roast with a good side dish is quite ok, though.
