Yes they do. You're talking about people who consider the Scots, Welsh and Irish immigrants ...

The immigrants forced you out?
They're the only one's willing to live there. Either that, or the poor ****ers can't afford to move out to the belt.

The rolling hills of the countryside and the lake district are awesome. Shame I'm stuck in the Black Country, and as such only see hills covered in housing and businesses and factories and stuff.

Lol. Im from scotland, the scenery is quite lovely I suggest hillwalking and fishing. The bad parts of the cities can suck royally tho.

I spent 2 years in England (USAF). I was outside of Oxford though. The only time I went to London was to see concerts.

Oh, and the food.... yeah it sucks. I like spicy food and was at a loss for a while until I discovered Indian food. Some of it is really good.

i live outside of and not that far from manchester, some nice scenery, not a nice place to live though, but we make do, half the house's around mine have been robbed in the passed 2 months, so it's a good job i stay up late, anyone breaks into my house and there gonna get stabbed the **** up, gets a bit boring sometimes, everyone does the same old **** day in and day out, still have alot of joke though, just get smashed every other day, i've lived here 24 years and i've only ever stepped foot in london once, you'll get those "stupid accents/snobby people", dont see them round here though, glad i grew up in the uk, but i dont want to stay here forever

Now that I think about it, I'd love to go to Wales, is the trip worth it?

Also the Cliffs of Dover?

wales has some nice scenery, some nice medieval castles to look at, that's about it, cant remember if i've been to dover

London is full of immigrants, the most popular dish in england is Chicken tikka  f*ckin masala, english or what??

I seem to recall that he's from Northumberland, though I may be mistaken. Whatever the case, he lives in Scotland, hence the Belt comment.

What part of Manchester are you from, Lizard_man? I'm from Stockport, so I can certainly sympathise.

Actually, wasn't chicken tikka masala technically invented in England? In which case, yes it is very English.
