No, I don't think you got it at all. Rain = fertile ground for planting. Fertile ground for planting = healthier and more bountiful harvests. Better harvests = more food, lower prices for food, higher quality food, etc.

So being mad at a farmer for wishing it was raining is just ****ing retarded, since *you* stand to benefit from the rain too, indirectly.

Fair enough, I got the impression that you were saying I couldn't isnult/complain about farmers becuase they grow crops. But as Hyperion said the right amount of rain is needed and we have had quite a lot of rain recently. We have had forcasts for a realy hot dry summer but we seem to get forcasts for that every year and they don't amount to much in Norfolk.
And it was one morning of nice weather, with rain forcasted for the afternoon. And I'm fairly certain the the guy would still be complaining if it had been raining that morning.

It does, the local supermarket does not but the market (as in the farmers market) does pay a lot better since thats when they sell direct (or more directly.)
