It's probably that way for any American traveling abroad to any foreign country.

If you're travelling abroad, people will be a lot more open if you're Canadian, than if you're 'American'.

I heard that isn't necessarily true anymore, will Europeans really take to us different if we say we're from the states instead of Canada?

If you speak loudly and make lots of American-ish noise and go like THE CARS ARE A LOT SMALLER HERE LOL

then yes.

otherwise, not visibly.

Which are quite common, yes

If people from Russia are loud, it's not as bad, since no one understands them, but Americans forget that 100% of Western Europe understands English.

In my case, it would make a difference. Instead of "Bloody canuck" I'd say "Bloody yank."

So you're referring to the generic obnoxious American Tourist couple?

There's ****loads of obnoxious Canadian touristy people too.

They only seem more civilized because they're our Fancy Top-hat that knows some French.

So far it's just an idea, no plans so far but a probable idea.

I'm thinking on going on a roadtrip with friends, down to denmark trough germany. France as well and ultimately GB, iv'e been going trough routes and locations. But so far all i can make out from those routes is that they will take me from one place to another.

>_<

So I was rather hoping some of you locals could suggest places to go and visit. What to do and such.

That is a) not a top-hat and b) Canada is actually a lot bigger than the US. If Canada IS a top-hat then the USA is a veritable gnome beneath it. :3

Yes, Eino, specify! Our resident Danes and/or Jerries may be able to help you out with some neat ideas if you give them a rough route. You can always just take some time for each place, look around the countrysides, check the cites and maybe go for the standard "impressive buildings" tourist-y attractions. Or go to number 2 here.

Nuremburg.

Better yet, the Nürburgring. On account of it being actually interesting instead of dreary history you can look up anywhere.
