Sir Laurent had been picked and groomed by the monks for many years to lead these men to glory but the church couldn't afford them equipment at the time so they had to take old equipment from last war many years back.. Sir Laurent got helped up on his feet by an odd sporadic knight with an pointy mustache named Regbold and had heard about their order from his village and wanted to join. Laurent accepted and then went looking for the commander who said that they where heading the same way as them. But they didnt come far out from the valley before they got confronted by an army from Battania. The Vladian commander then ordered the men in to an tight formation to preparing to fend off these beasts from the east.

As the whole army now where dangerously low on men they had to push for the boarders east to meet up with the commander there. However as they where close to the boarders out from Battania they saw an patrol guarding the mountain pass and they had to push thru.

Chapter 5: Hunted like animals
Sir Laurent screamed at the few men left to retreat up the mountain straight away. They couldnt save the wounded at the moment since he had spotted a couple of Sturgian horsemen in the forest not far from them who where now sending an messanger to get the rest of their group to finish the Vladians off. As the men came up by the mountainside they could hear the Sturgian small scout army coming closer and closer as they where taunting them, trying to scare them with animal noises like they where about to eat them right then and there. Then suddenly the small group could hear an stick breaking off behind em and they all jumped like it was the last time on earth. It was an Vladian scout team who had observed and waited for them to bring the Sturgian army up to just this position...Laurent got relieved and ordered everyone up to hold the small hill behind them...

When the fight was over Laurent ordered some of the scouts to go ahead towards the narrow pass and forest leading to Sturgia. This was to make sure there was´nt survivors who had warned an other army about their arrival. As they finally arrived to the outpost they could see smooke coming from the castle walls from an distance. The men thought they had came to late but Laurent set out some scouts just in case and took the rest of the men inside an forest just to be on the safe side. After some time the scouts reported in as they had seen a castle being attacked but not an soul in sight. No bodies in sight either but they found some tracks leading out towards the north.
Laurent ordered the scouts to go ahead as they followed them from a distance. After an half day of tracking the scouts came back as they reported in some an small Vladian group being chased by and group of Battanians down by the river ahead of them. Laurent took the cavalry to flank ahead to meet up this small group and he told Regbold to take command over the ground troops to engage from behind if needed.
When they came across the river and up on the hill they met up with the Vladian group which was the commander from the fort who had fled with her men because they where facing an larger army they could handle and now took an decision along with Laurent to turn around counterattacking....

And as Laurent and his Knights made such an entry by the border they had to take the long route home thru the north. So they told all the men to pack up and move out. As they came up inside an forest not far from the river they spotted an small Sturgian scout group who where sounding their horns as Calatild ordered em all to hunt them down so they couldn't report.....

When the battle was over they could hear an larger army closing in from the distance as if they had responded to the horns from the Sturgian scouts.
Calatild ordered the men to move out straight away but they didnt came far because the men was to exhausted and the unknown army was closing in on them. It was like shooting em selves in the foot the more they tried to run Sir Laurent resonated. Calatild agreed and sent out some scouts to see what they where up against and after an minute they reported back an army with the size of theirs was closing in from the river and it was the commander who tried to courtship her. She then ordered the men to start attacking but they should leave their commander alive so she once and for all could tell him that it would never work!

Sir Laurent took the rest of the survivors back to Ocs Hall just to regain their strenght and try to recruit more men or even better up an general with an army. The commander they supported where also heading the same way as them so they got accompanied on the journey up northeast. However they also spotted battanian scouts trying to lure em in to an other direction. Chapter 16: The Ambush at Galea Peak
Sir Laurent took the rest of the survivors back to Ocs Hall just to regain their strenght and try to recruit more men or even better up an general with an army. It was his lucky day though as he found one who already where heading on out with his men. As they came up towards the outskirts of Halisvust they had to hide in some woods to observe an large army of Battanians marching down south filled with chests of denars.
The general then suggested them to observe them from a distance as they followed as he also saw that the army where splitting up in to two sizes. The ones in front was so happy and in spirit that they didnt pay attention to the tired and weak behind them...
This weakness is what the general wanted to use and when the time was right they should strike.
Later on that day they found an opportunity inside the deep woods bit down south and they snuck up on the Battanians with swift force taking them by surprise by an river bank

As the priest, Bidal and Laurent got tied to an wagon by an large Berserker who was about to make an trophy out of Bidal they now got saved by another army of Vladia who was sent by the Templar Order. Laurent also met this new recruit of the Templars by the name of Vandicand. He had heard all about them and wanted to join in along with more men to help them in their quest. They where also accompanied by Lord Romund as he also got the request from Sir Laurents tutor and high priest.
When they where heading back and reached the border they where all in an happy state. Bidal told a lot of stories from his home country and the men loved him as he was always happy and polite. Then suddenly they got ambushed by an Battanian army. Chapter 30: The Kings Request /Prologue/
As the Gates to Ocs Hall opened up they got welcomed by the whole city like heroes. Streets where filled with families and soldiers now wanting to see the famous Templar Knights as they celebrated wildly when they walked by with their horses. the King greated them by the big palace and invited them in for dinner. But it didnt took long untill he had an request. He wanted the Templars to lead his men to drive the battanians out from his country then lead his men in to the very heart of Battania and kill their King to make an example. Sir Laurent refused at first but after the king accepted his terms he then gave his words.
As the whole Vladian army marched out the gates the next day, the country side where empty. Scouts or spies most probable allready knew they where coming and Sir Laurent ordered two scout teams, some veterans and his Templars as himself rode out with them to take a look by the boarder. When they came in to an route inside an forest where the smugglers and bandits where usually traveling they couldnt see a soul..Then suddenly horns went blowing and they saw an small army of Battanians charging at them.....
