Sure, but the part "And you will ****ing eat it" stands. While Hungarian cuisine is much better than everything these brit****s ever tasted, my cooking wouldn't do it any justice.

The street food caravan on Kazinczy utca is kinda cool. Then if you want traditional (but accessible) Hungarian food: Lugas behind the basilica is pretty nice.

Then if you just want a drink the area around Gozsdu and the Jewish quarter are decent.

I did spend some time with some Hungarian colleagues in various suburbs. Couldn't tell you where though. Other than one who lived in the Buda hills which is a nice area.

I can give you directions to the bigger slum areas, if you want some real local adventure. You just go there at night, count your money in the open street, then try to get out of there. It's fun!

Amusingly, that was literally the first thing that popped to my mind when I saw Jacob's response, but it seemed too on the nose for him / not his style.

And no, Hungarian food isn't supposed to be bad, especially compared to British food. Of course, I don't know what kind of **** they sell at the tourist traps, but if you find a proper Hungarian grandma to cook for you, you'd want to take her home with you. And not just because you are a perverted ****.

This is a lie. Hungarian food is just cabbage, low-quality meat and more cabbage.

Its one redemption is goulash.
